Roto-Rooter came out and diagnosed my problem, cleared the line, ran camera and identified the main problem. All of this during a storm and the tech did not mind. Very friendly and knolwedgeable.

Love the experience!

My basement drain was partially blocked, and store bought products would not work. I called Roto-Rooter, and within 3 hours the truck arrived. They succesfully unclogged the pipes within 30 minutes. Their service was excellent- the two employees were very professional. They were efficient, polite and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them to anyone!

I had a slow-draining bathtub, which needed to be snaked. Roto-Rooter arrived at the appointed time and completed the job promptly. I was only rather surprised at the $375 price, which seemed high to me.

Roto-Rooter Plumbers 3/24/2011 and 4/1/2011

I had a root-bound sewer line that was draining slowly. I called a local company that had done the job for me in the past, but after they wasted my time for three days by giving me services window and consistently not showing up or even calling me I called Roto-Rooter to help me out.

When I called an actual person answered the phone who assured me that the guys would give me a call 30 minutes before they were going to show up so that I could meet them. I got the call about 45 minutes before they showed up.

The technician, Tony, was very professional, knowledgeable, and likeable. He seemed committed to resolving my problem.

They did the basic sewer snaking which did not work so they went and picked up the hydro-jet truck. The hydro-jetting got it to a slow drain so they sent down a camera and found the problem was a broken sewer pipe under the road.

They called out a master plumber to give me an estimate on the repair. Tony waited on-site the entire time.

The overall experience with this visit was excellent.

The only improvement that I would have wished a little more empathy from the master plumber when delivering the sewer line estimate. It was a tough position when you really have no other options and they deliver a huge estimate of work. I would have preferred that he deliver the estimate by breaking down the different costs, explaining the typical plan of action, and offering financing without me prompting him with multiple questions.

4/1/2011

I had a broken sewer line under the street caused by the roots from a large tree across the road. I had Roto-Rooter give me an estimate for the repair. Since they had to get a bond from the city for tearing up the road, and due to the previous experience I had with Tony from Roto-Rooter I wanted to go with a National company.

The job was to replace the sewer from the house to the main (approx 60 feet), install a full size cleanout at the house, saw cut the road (approx 6' X 14'), excavate with an extended back-hoe the sewer (20 feet down under road), bring in shoring for the dig, bring in sand and compact for the road repair, pull a bond and permits with the city. I also had them quote me replacing the water line from the house to the main since it was right next to the sewer line.

I liked that they put work exclusions right on the estimate as well, stating they would not be responsible for the landscaping (replanting seed etc).

They were confident they could resolve the issue in 2-3 days.

The master plumber that gave me the estimate, Bill, was exceedingly helpful in keeping me informed about the process since they could not actually start working until they got permits and a bond from the city. He told me times that he would call me with updates, and I am extremely pleased to say that I did receive those calls from him near the times I was expecting them. It was a huge piece of mind to know that they were on top of things and keeping me informed of the process. Thank you Bill!

They had the different lines flagged on Tuesday. Wednesday Tony and Chris showed up early (8am) with the plan of having everything to the road completed (sewer and water line). They accomplished this goal. However, the city inspector did not show up so they could backfill the yard on Wednesday. Thursday they showed up early again and began the work of replacing the sewer under the road. They completed the sewer replacement and completed the road work as they had planned. However, another day with the inspector not showing up so they had to return on Friday.

Tony showed up Friday morning at 8am and waited until the inspector showed up (about 11am). The work passed inspection so Tony and Chris finished backfilling the yard.

They did an excellent backfill job leaving me very little landscaping to do once the ground settles in a week or so.

Tony and Chris are excellent! You can tell they want to do a good job and help take care of your problem.

Needed an estimate for repair on what was a small leak from upstairs shower. Was told 69.95 for someone to come out and give me an estimate and if I decided to let them do the work I would not be charged the 69.95. I should have asked if I still had to pay even if they could not give me an estimate. The tech came out put a flash light down the shower drain and said he could not tell where the leak was coming from. Said he would have to cut a hole in my ceiling (not resposible for repairing that hole) to find the leak. Could not tell me if it would cost a 100.00 or thousands of dollars. I told him I did would not agree to any work until I had some kind of idea what the cost would be. He was there about 4 minutes . They would not wiave the fee.

Roto-Rooter Plumbers (03/02/2011)

"Roto Rooter Plumbers 03/02/2011" came to our home because of a serious backup problem that caused major flooding throughout our entire home (both main floor and basement). Ed Sullivan, our service man, came out right away, quickly fixing our problem within a matter of minutes, not only informing us as to how the problem started but as to what kind of shape our plumbing was in (which was much better than we thought). Ed was incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, and quite professional - even coming in under what was initially quoted over the phone. If we ever find ourselves in need of a plumber again, we will call Roto Rooter Plumbing and ask for Ed to come out. I must add that we had contacted several plumbing companies around Fort Wayne before deciding on Roto Rooter because they were also "so" incredibly helpful, courteous, and professional (not to mention patient) amidst my frantic phone call about our leak!

no license no bond

All customers beware - this company is not licensed or bonded. Where is the money you pay them going? Not to the State! They are also running a company named A-1 Plumbing. A-1 is not bonded or licensed, they have been running this Co. since Nov. 2008. They own Aichele Plumbing, it's licensed and bonded. Please notify WA State Labor and Industries in Kennewick, (509) 735-0100. Please submit your bill to them also. I had to select a star to submit this review, wish I could put a Minis Star!

Thanks so much to the receptio...

Thanks so much to the receptionist at Roto-Rooter for recognizing I needed assistance so quickly. And to the repair technician who responded before my basement was flooded. I am so appreciative. They were great and I would never hesitate to call them again or refer them to friends!

Tried to pull a fast one!

I was remodeling our main bathroom and decided to have someone come out and just do a maintenance snake on our main drain beings I had the toilet off anyway an we've had problems w/back up in the past. I purchased an new toilet and also asked to have the plumber install the new toilet too. I DIDN'T HAVE ANYONE COME OUT FOR A QUOTE! BIG MISTAKE!!! So things went smoothly, after a couple of hours the plumber hands me the bill I hand over the credit card, he leaves. The next day I about fainted...OVER $800.00 was charged!!! They charged $369.00 for installing the toilet! I expected a charge because the dude had to put together the new toilet but good Lord! I talked to the manager and he was very polite adn workable which kept my blood pressure down to normal. The bill was adjusted to $100.00 for installing the toilet. I would use them again BUT WORD TO THE WISE!!! GET A QUOTE FIRST whether it's in Denver or Aurora!!!

Oh the PAIN in the basement footings drains

Had to call for help with the leaking basement. No cracks in the walls, just water coming in where the wall meets the floor. Yes, sounds like the drain tiles. My brother had said "Call Roto Rooter, they come out to my company all the time." Initially spoke to a professional and friendly man named Rob, who answered all my questions, listened to what I had already tried, discussed the possibility that the drain tile was collasped, or the jet might not be able to make the 90 degree corner, but that is was worth a try. He acted like he had all day to talk to me. Promised he would send someone out THAT MORNING! As promised, David arrives, friendly, professional, very helpful and gets the north and south tiles cleared. And no the jet did not make the corner for the west wall. So David goes inside, re-evaluates the problem, gives me all of my options, and again very patiently explains and re-explains what each option entails till he is sure I understand what choices I have next. Will definitely call them again!!!!!!

Do Not Call Them!

I called their listed 877 729 7686 at 1045pm to be told that the tel# for my area (local Roto-Rooter is 845 561 9008. I called that number, they took all my personal information as far as problem location return tel# and an answering service said the oon call person would call me back. I received a call around 1147pm from a (914) cell#. a man asked for Barbara , I said you have the wrong number (thats not my name) he hung up. I'm still waitiing for the Roto-Rooter call at 743am the next day. I wish this was the same Roto-Rooter company from way back when. They were dependable, reliable, honest , on time and most of all considerate of the customers and future customers. Im very disappointed in the outcome of this contact.

Roto Rooter is Great!

A few weeks ago our garlic press went down the garbage disposal and cracked the connecting pipe. This happened over the weekend and Roto Rooter was the only plumbing service availiable. Jeff, the technician, was able to come out within a few hours and fix the cracked pipe right away. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and provided us with excellent customer service. We are very happy with the outcome (which is even under a 6 month guarantee) and would definitely use Roto Rooter again!

Satisfied customer

I realized I needed profession help when water came gushing from the drain pipe in the laundry room. I called Roto Rooter and was told a serviceman would be there within an hour. He appeared at my door in a half hour. He was polite, professional and diagnosed and fixed the problem much to my relief. This was the second time I've had to use Roto Rooter and I will surely call them again if the need arises. I am a totally satisfied customer.

Ask for clarification!

I have no idea what the Roto-Rooter service is like. They never got to my house. I had to call another service. When I originally called the number that said "serving your area: 877-729-7686" I got a service representative who did not clarify information and got it wrong. She connected me to what she said was a local business. I made an appointment. And waited, and waited, and waited. The short version of the story is this: After numerous calls to find out why the plumber was not showing up it was revealed that the plumber was in Alaska! (I live in California.) Well, thanks, Roto-Rooter service representative! Guess it's my fault for living on a common street name that could be in more than one town. Too bad they didn't check to see that the zip code I gave them was not the zip code they transferred me to. That somewhere along the line, the service rep did not hear the city name and state did not match with the zip code she used. Good thing I found number that was ACTUALLY local, called it, got great service, and will never have to rely on the 800# Roto Rooter service reps again!

Great Service!

I contacted Roto-Rooter after a local plumber told me I will likely need my main drain cleaned. Todd, a Roto-Rooter technician, was at my house within 30 minutes of my call. He analyzed the problem, quoted my price, did the work professionally all while explaining what he was doing in a friendly manner. After the clog was found, he used the camera to scope the main line to show me that it was indeed clear. I was very happy with the work and the service. Thanks!

Roto-Rooter Plumbers 1/16/11

I had Roto-Rooter out to my house to fix my clogged kitchen sink on 1/16/11. Unfortunately, the plumber could not fix the problem because he deemed the problem to be frozen water in the PVC pipes. I was charged for the service call ($29.95), and was advised that I had to pay another $69.99 because the plumber brought out his "tools" and "snake". The plumber advised that I could refuse to pay the $69.99, but I was still responsible for the service call. All in all...pretty disappointing. Since then I have run boiling water in my drain, and everything is back to normal.
