        Whalley Computer Associates is one of the largest computer resellers in the United States. As one of the largest suppliers in New England of Apple, Compaq, Dell, EvTek, Hewlett-Packard, Epson, Gateway, IBM, Toshiba, 3Com, Cisco, Citrix, Microsoft, Nortel, Novell and Xircom products, Whalley sells and services nearly every major technology product that a company might require. The company employs approximately 80 full time technicians and 30 engineers with network certifications in Novell, Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix and Linux. IBM ranked Whalley Computer Associates in the top 100 of all their 3,500 reseller service centers. Hewlett-Packard & Compaq also placed Whalley in the top 10 percent of all their reseller service centers. Founded in 1979, Whalley Computer Associates is headquartered in Southwick, Mass., and remains a family-owned business.

        We have not had the best experience when it comes to pre-sales information and vendor recommendations and expertise from WCA techs. I really wanted to increase our business with WCA as their pricing was competitive, but we get a bit of the "buy it or not" type feedback sometimes and we have been looking elsewhere for vendor comparisons usually as a result (not a good sign though). Feedback has been slow or non existent during our purchasing due diligence and vendor reviews, and WCA seems to offer solutions more in the educational market (not our market). We have seen marginal performance and tech expertise not being as broad as we would expect (being not much better than our own expertise). Would love to see them show the value with better pre -sales reviews when we consider changes - making us want to use them more. Hope it happens.
