Excessive sweating can be caused by a variety of internal and external factors, including thyroid problems, diabetes, infection and diet. Sweating a natural reaction caused by the body’s need to cool down, such as after a work out or when in warm climates. Like all bodily functions, the amount of sweat varies from person to person, however, hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating does plague as much as 3% of the U.S. population. Wound Care
Infection seldom occurs when the wound care instructions have been carefully followed. Signs of infection include: Increased temperature, increased pain, swelling, redness or yellowish drainage several days after surgery. If you have any of these signs, please notify your physician as soon as possible. There will be a scar and redness in the surgical site, which will decrease as healing progresses. Redness can last up to six months.
