In 2008 I got a black lab mix.I took her to Dr Hansen in Seven Springs and he would always do minor things to my dog w/o my permission.I would always get so angry because I know from working in the health profession, we always have to ask permission before we provide treatment to a patient.During the first puppy months, my dog had a urinary tract infection.At one appointment Dr. Hansen needed a urine sample, which I could have provided (I could have caught the dog's urine myself and gave it to them), so w/o my permission, they stuck a needle in her bladder and withdrew some urine.I was LIVID!And when he couldn't cure her infection, he just kept increasing the antibiotics.And the come later, I was "allowed" to bring a urine sampel.All the minor things that were done w/o permission, I had to pay for.And then he tried to tell me it was my dog food.He pressured me into buying Science Diet, which I know for fact isn't good.So eventually I started giving my puppy a cranberry tablet, and her infection went away.....who knew, right!

Next dog, my golden.He had a lump.I took him to Dr. Hansen, and all he did was feel it and he shrugged his shoulders and said it was a cyst.I researched cysts, etc. and he was wrong.I went an entire year and then finally I got a second opinion.THANK GOD it was not cancer, it was just a fatty tissue mass, which the second vet diagnosed from aspirating some cells and sending it off for a diagnosis. Dr. Hansen is just lazy.

My Mom and I together have six dogs.But during this situation we had five.We took all five in so there blood could be ran so we could get our years worth of heartguard.The staff took all five dogs in the back and gave them rabies shots, again without permission, plus the dogs were already up to date.I was furious.I had just learned more about vaccines, dogfood, etc. and I learned that yearly vaccines for dogs is too much, it's a money thing.We as humans do not recieve yearly vaccines.I refused to pay, but if I didn't pay, they wouldn't give me the rabies certificate and then they tried to say they'd give them all another rabies vaccine the following year.Over kill on the shots.So I paid, just to get the rabies certificate.Again, Dr. Hansen and his staff never listen to the customers.At this point, I waited an hour to speak with Dr. Hansen.He hid in his office and then finally came out, said something to me (I forgot what it was, but it was smart alac) and never came out and spoke with me professionally.I requested a copy of all my records and they tried to tell me they weren't allowed, the records are Dr. Hansen’s.I argued with them and finally went home and printed of the vet laws and proved to them, the patient's records are the patient's records.Still, they did not give me a copy of my records.

In 2010 I had another dog neutered by Dr. Hansen and stated do not do anything w/o permission. He did a fecal and then argued with my Mother to try and validate his tactics. There was a man there at the time and he was mad to because they told him they accepted american express, so when he was ready to pay, they told him they did NOT accept it. And he was supposed to get his cat fixed and declawed, and they didn't get around to it, so they charged him for an extra day of stay.I've other stories from other people such as Dr. Hansen prescribed the wrong medicine which in the end killed a dog. There's numerous things. I wish we could all come together and put him out of business.
