DIY Kitchens Baths

Our kitchen remodel exceeded my expectations, far more than I could have ever dreamed. Not just because of the high quality of products used. No, I can buy pretty countertops and just the perfect sink at any big-box store. What made this project special were the people The DIY Kitchens have on their staff.

I met designer Pasha after sending an email from their website. I knew as soon as I met him that he would be the one who could design an amazing new kitchen for me. That's exactly what he did. He used his considerable talents and skills to imagine a kitchen I could NEVER have conceived. In fact, I looked at the first design and said, "That's it!"

Next, I met Tony, their contractor. This is a man who has never uttered the word, "no." He only says, "We can make it happen." Once he came onsite, the project ran like clockwork. His team arrived on time each day, dealt with curious homeowners (us) who was onsite as well, and left each workday with the site neat and tidy. It was a pleasure to have them demolish my kitchen and build a new one!

Contrary to other reports of people who have experienced general kitchen remodel nightmares with other contractors, I can't tell you how grateful I am to DIY Kitchens and Baths that this project went so smoothly. We rarely had to make any decisions, We didn't have to worry about mistakes or errors, and best of all, they finished the project when they said they would. We paid a considerable sum, but I got exactly the kitchen I wanted and the whole experience was amazing.

The only problem we have now is our bathrooms are jealous of the kitchen. We'll have to hire DIY Kitchens and Baths again in about a year to make sure our bathrooms feel important again!

Fred and his team do exceptional work at a fraction of the price of most companies. The work was top notch and very reasonably priced. We will totally use them again the next time we have a home project. Don't hesitate to use them. I've used at least 6-7 over the years and done right is the best by far.

Reliable, trustworthy, efficient, flexible, amazing value - just some words I'd use to describe DIY Kitchens. I gave Fred and his team a deadline and budget and they met both! How often do you hear of that happening, especially for a full kitchen gut and new floors? Three weeks! Fred produced some really nice graphics that helps you visualize your end-product, and made quick adjustments per my guidance. His input was extremely valuable, especially for those of us that don't know a lot about style, trends, what buyers are looking for, etc. The team worked quickly, they were efficient, and did not sacrifice quality for time. Of note, I was able to leave a key to my home in a lockbox, and trust the guys to come and go as they needed. Fred was available at a moment's notice, any hour of any day, to answer questions. I had a lot, and he was very patient with me. He even helped receive some shipments for me while I was out of town. Each day the job site was clean! Overall great people, great value, amazing detail work - exceeded expectations in all regards. Best of all, these guys won't nickel and dime you. You'll get an estimate and they'll stick to it, even if they deviate from it (to your favor!) I have two full baths that will need remodeling and DIy Kitchens and Baths will be the go-to. Highly recommended!

We hired them to do a master bathroom and kitchen remodel. Walked off the job after we paid 70% of the contract. Barely 25% of the work has been done (and that's being generous). Permits were not pulled and none of the work is done to code so the work that was done needs to be redone. The electric is totally unsafe and a fire hazard, the plumbing is dumping raw sewage into our garage. As an aside, since proper permits weren't pulled, the home insurance won't cover any damages.

The wrong bathroom was demo-ed and we were promised that it would be refinished for us as a courtesy. This "free" bathroom was not refinished to code, took 3+ months and was only usable because we gave up and finished the work ourselves. For the work that was done, it is so shoddy it needs to be redone.

Workers were constantly calling us that the owner wasn't paying them and demanding money from us. The guys who did demolition and the electrician threatened us. We have increased motion detectors and cameras in the house and have instructed the alarm company to send the police as soon as the alarm goes off and not call us because we live in fear.

Workers were highly unprofessional leaving the job site a mess. They trashed the house leaving behind food containers and personal waste, they damaged new floors, and generally treated the house like they didn't care.

In areas that were NOT being remodeled, they left huge holes in the ceiling and walls, and left live high voltage electrical wires exposed.

In addition, Frank (Faruk) Yildirim suggested we pay him for materials and he'd get them cheaper for us. He took the money and never delivered materials including a tub and hardwood floors. He and Bauka (Baurjan Byerdkhan) constantly lied to us about delivery of materials and work. In fact, we just found out that he charged us twice what it was going to cost him to purchase our tub (we went to the store directly and they gave us the quote they gave him which was half of what we paid him).

He walked off the job claiming he's bankrupt but there is no bankruptcy filing in his names, and he has a new website called Same Day Kitchens and also goes by Beltway Cabinets.

When hiring him, we asked about some of the bad online reviews and he told us that competitors were posting fake reviews. They are not fake--they are all REAL! We had the same experience as every negative review you see.

This is the same company as Beltway Kitchen and Bath. They've changed their name but the service is just as bad. Search them online and call MHIC and the Better Business Bureau before hiring them.
