Cogdell Construction : Established since 1993 Owner and CEO Buford Cogdell Buford is a 2nd Generation : Master Carpenter/Builder/Remodel Contractor He began his craft and love of working with his hands and wood in junior high school in 1969 and started framing houses in 1972 summers and weekends while still in school and started his own framing crew in 1974 after completing high school.From there framed homes till late 1978 and then joined Carpenters Union to build High Rise Bld Commercial Finish-out until 1982 when the carpenters union died out and the pay scale droped $7.00 hr over night. From there he started a residential sheetrock business in Denton TX where he excelled with a good customer base and continued this business until 1985 because looking for new chalenges and change started a Trim Finish business Custom Homes with Custom Trim this was fun for Buford and believes this was his true calling but started branching out in 1991 doing different work to stay busy Custom Decks,Remodeling,Room Additions and Commercial Finish Out but continued to Trim until late 1993 when the demand for good reliable Remodel Contractors realy took off and so ( Cogdell Construction ) was created and became the most Trusted and Reliable Remodel Company in all of ( Denton County ) Until 2001 only had maybe 2 or 3 competers that were even remotely close to the same type and or same quality of contractor.
