I highly recommend Ray. He does a great job every time. He is polite, professional and his prices are on point.

Ray's comes highly recommended. When I was having a problem with my car I drove it right over to his shop and he peeked his head under the hood and checked things out for me. I suspected I needed to add oil and the oil cap was too tightly screwed on for me to get it off. Ray checked my oil, helped me unscrew the oil cap and offered to fill it up for me. When I insisted that I pay Ray for his time he refused. Ray is a super nice mechanic that I will continue to do business with.

I brought my car here for the first time on Friday, Zack was my mechanic he was great! He knew exactly what was wrong with my truck. I will recommend this place to my family and friends.

Ray is such a nice guy. He is my trusted mechanic. He is experienced, dependable, and honest. His prices are also very fair.

I've been going to Ray's Downtown Auto Service faithfully for a while now. My Honda is now 12 years old and still running happily.

Unprofessional and Dishonest



This shop runs the typical bait and switch - quoting you a low price and without warning, charging you double when you pick up your vehicle. Ray gave me an estimate of $90 for labor and refrigerant to recharge the A/C system in my car. I made an appointment for later that day and when I dropped off my car, was asked for my phone number so they could call if any additional repairs were needed. Ray called a couple hours later to tell me my car was ready, but failed to mention that my bill was double what he had quoted me.



Imagine my surprise when I arrived to pickup my car and was asked to pay $178. Ray explained that freon, was an additional $40 and wasn't included in the quote he'd given me. And that he'd taken the liberty to see why my check engine light was on and cleared the code, and charged me $38 for the service I hadn't asked for. When I complained about these additional, unauthorized "repairs" he told me I had to pay or I wouldn't get my car back. The bottom line is that Ray is unethical businessman who takes advantage of people - unless you want to pay double, steer clear of his shop.
