J & K Salvage

DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING TO THEM THEY ARE A HORRIBLE BUSINESS IM STILL WAITING A MONTH NOW FOR 315 DOLLARS! IF THEY CANT AFFORD TO PAY PEOPLE THEN WHY ARE THEY TAKING PEOPLES CARS UNPROFESSIONAL TO THE MAX THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!

Synopsis: Don't waste your time and energy doing business here. I had to be brief because I couldn't fit everything I wanted to say in the allotted space.

>>I would have to say that I was very dissatisfied with the service I received from J&K Salvage. I dropped off a minimum amount of scrap (a few hundred dollars) and after they took my scrap I was asked if I wanted an ATM ticket that I could use to get cash out of ATM or if I wanted to go to the scarp office and collect a check. The guy was nice enough to inform me that the ATM was currently out of cash, so I opted for the check. I later found out (by employees/customers) it rarely holds cash and so many other people are waiting that when it has cash it doesn't last long.

>>I was told they had to mail check bc they didn't have any on hand. 7 weeks went by before I called to inquire about my check. They had no idea and said they would call me back. They never did. I call back later only to get same response. 1 more week, I call and I am told they will call me back. I called them out on not calling me back and that is when it was mentioned to me that they are owed a lot of $ and are having trouble paying customers (oh, and I was told they couldn't issue checks. WHAT?!). Then why take my product in first place if you didn't have intentions of paying me on time. They told me to call after hours and speak with Joe, the owner/manager (idk). He was fairly rude and told me to speak to Yvonne and she would set aside cash to pay me. Well I was finally paid (3 MONTHS AFTER i gave them my metal). I will say that all the employees were courteous and Joe might have been just having a bad day. But I believe this company is having huge issues and forcing its low level customers to bare the faults of someone else. Get your act together or at least be more honest!

Never sell to them,they never pay, nor do they plan on it. They ignore BBB complaints and refuse to make good on their debts.they rob people who are already financially struggling. Never do business with them, they should be shUT down! Been trying to collect for over 2 months!

2 months now and still haven't got paid is the worst place I've ever been

Haven't been able to get my money from them for three weeks now. Never again

I am a contractor and depend on local scrap yards to handle our recycleables. I thought I would give J&K Salvage a try. I took in about $70 worth of scrap....it was near the end of the day and I receievd the story the scale house was out of cash (From the sounds of it this is their typical MO) they swiped my license and said they would send a check to the address on on my license. Well that was 14 weeks ago and I have 4 calls into them. The accountant must be a master of diversion as they have tried every tactic in the book to avoid our calls and purposely avoided my persistence. My advise is to stay a way they are scam artists and they will screw you any chance they get!! My only way to get back beside filing a complaint with the Attorney General and the BBB is to do business with the other scrap yards in the region.



Also FYI...as a member of the YBA (York Builders) I plan to broadcast this unethical business practice among the 900 plus members...hopefully this word being public will dent their business and just treatment might come full circle.....

I took scrap metal in in July/Aug and they said they had no cash and would mail a check. 2 MONTHS LATER NO CHECK. I called and they said one was mailed in Aug. I asked for a replacement check and they refused. I wen't in in person and said I was gonna file a bbb complaint. They said I no longer had an account with them and was owed nothing. I was scammed out of 900$ by this company or one or more of it's employees.

Worst customer service ever. My car broke down after back surgery. I was towed by J&K. The tow truck driver was soo rude to me. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. They scrapped my brand new car and refused to take any responsibility for it. I would not wish these people services on my worst enemy......
