Rusty Star

Dry with no flavor. That explains the food as well as the staff. I've had better BBQ at Rudy's. You would think a small-town BBQ place would sport very good food, but this was not the case. I had the pulled pork plate and also tried some of my buddy's brisket. Dry. And without putting the generic BBQ sauce on top, there was absolutely no flavor. Even the beans and potato salad lacked the kind of flavor I would expect.



The staff was very uptight. When we walked in, no one greeted us. Even worse, the guy cutting the meat (I'm thinking the owner?) just stared at us! It was very awkward. And the lady helping us made any request we had seem like she had to move a mountain to get it taken care of.



Finally, the food is SO overpriced! What makes this worse is they have a sign that "justifies" their high prices by claiming they serve quality food. What a joke.



This was my first and last time to go to Rusty Star BBQ. I tend to go back to restaurants if at least the customer service or food is good. Seeing as this restaurant had neither, I'm not coming back and I'm not recommending it to anyone.
