Alternative Transmissions

I have been servicing my Land Rover's at Alternative for over 10 years now. These cars are very high maintenance so I have been keeping Jack, Harry and the other technical staff busy over the years. Alternative completed a successful transmission rebuild ('05 Range Rover-BMW motor) for me along with many other services on my '08 LR3 and '14 LR4. I always take my cars to Alternative before the dealership and they are almost always able to compete the repairs. I highly recommend either of the 2 locations for your automotive repairs.

Quote on the phone was 1500 got there talking to the owner he suggested additional work we agreed at a price of 2800 said that it would be great finish price of 5300 with a lot of reasons paid bill and left drove 100 miles they suggest that we did something wrong that is why it was cooked broken busted garbage, said that we needed a transmission cooler ? What the ____ took it back to the shop then the owner said that it would require a water pump at a cost of 745.00 he wrote on our invoice that the warranty was void 100 mile warranty

Transmission went out on the Florida Turnpike at 300AM. Bardo’s Towing recommended Alternative Transmission. Jack with Alternative Transmission started working on my van first thing the next morning. I walked up at 9AM and he was putting fluid in my transmission. A transmission cooler line had came off. Jack replaced it and refilled the transmission. Jack was honest, professional, and kind. Finding trustworthy help 500 miles from home--could not have gone better! Disney and Universal were great. Thank you Jack! God bless.

I took my truck in to this shop to have my transmission rebuilt and not only is the owner of this place the biggest creep I have meet ( told me could work off paying him to work on my truck by laying on my back) but I had to take my truck back there over 5 different times and it was never fixed right so now I'm out of a truck to get to work or take my kids to where they need to go and out of the money I paid this s.o.b. To fix my truck

I would give them negative stars. My Car was towed here they started working on my car without contacting me. Would not give me the car till I paid them I know stupid me but I needed my car and I was worried they would do more damage to me. They Refused to provide me receipt of any kind no part receipt no work order nothing. When I complained Jack whom works there just tells me I smell nice and make other such comments in the voice of a little girl. My car is not running as well as it was before it had the problem that was suppose to be fixed. I was told by jack it was a new part but he provided no proof to this. Do not trust these people they are as dishonest as they come these are the horror story mechanics just looking for women to rip off. I have never had this type of treatment before but now I know. They will act and treat you as though you are stupid, They will make sexual comments towards you that make your skin crawl to make you just want to leave as soon as you can after you pay them.
