The property at 1100 N.LaSalle St, Chicago the building has bed bugs, the building is very old and the water pipes are very old and water frequently backs up into your unit. it smells, management will clear the drains but the smell lingers for awhile. The Egyptian owners have set up a series of shell companies 50 or more of them. It's had to tell why, but there is some sort scheme involved. The location is the only positive the bldg has going for it. The manager has a blind spot for the truth.

Stay away from 722 Reba. I moved in May 2014 found out I had bed bugs in July and they didn't treat the apt until August almost 3 weeks since I told them. Landlord tried to blame it on me that I brought them there. If that was the case then my sisters house and moms house would have had them too because I would sleep there 4 days out the week. She wanted me to keep the bed until t got treated and what did she expect me and my daughter to sleep on it and keep getting bitten? They finally came to do a treatment and the pest controller said there would be 3 of them. When I called management they said one would be good enough, what?!! I told them well not for my sake but for the next renter that decides to rent there you should do all 3 treatments because I'm not taking any furniture. Finally after phone calls and emails I was getting my lawyer involved they agreed to draw up a mutual termination lease agreement. They have several properties around Evanston and Chicago so just be aware. I went back to collect my mail and found just bugs in the hallway who knows what kind they are. Just a horrible and disgusting experience.

I had a serious problem with COCKROACHES to the point that I had to throw away my microwave and when I moved my refrigerator to check I saw about 150 of them from the little ones to the big ones with eggs!!! I took pictures of all this. I called management on Wednesday around 11am. I was told someone will be coming to check the issue and I called on Thursday to double check when should I expect someone all I got wads an “I don’t know!” I didn’t call Friday just to see if the person will contact me… NOTHING! I decide to call Saturday now 3 days after reporting the problem and what I got as a response was “DO YOU KNOW IT’S SATURDAY! NO ONE WORKS ON SATURDAY”.

After that I decided to call 311 and made a report. It smells like dead roaches and its unsanitary for anyone to live like this. Stay away from renting in the 801 Seward building!!!!!
