Zero stars! #worstmoveever hardly covers the unacceptable service by Albert Moving. Since this was a military move, I will also file my complaint with the Department of Defense to recommend this company be removed from the current and any future DoD contracts.

We replied to an email on 20 JUL, asking for details on the delivery date so we could adjust our travel plans. We heard nothing back till I called them on 24 JUL, the day our truck was loaded. That was the first time we heard that the delivery would be 27 JUL. We asked for 28 JUL to allow safe travel for us and so we could make hotel reservations. Two hours later, I called Albert again, only to be informed that 27 JUL was firm since the unloading crew was already scheduled and could not slip one day. So, before the truck was loaded, my wife had to strike out on her own for a 1633 mile trek to be in Colorado Springs on Monday to receive our household goods. Now this is where their lack of customer service and coordination goes from totally unacceptable to absolutely absurd because there is no crew there as I type this on 27 JUL at 1000 MDT. Moreover, we've been informed that the crew is scheduled for 28 JUL. If we're lucky, a pick up crew of doubtful experience and expertise will off load our stuff today.

We have moved 23 times (including 4 overseas moves) in 34 years of service to our Nation so I know of what I speak when I emphatically state that this is the worst moving company ever!

RUN, RUN, RUN. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. If you take out their so called "insurance", it is not really insurance at all. They do not have a third party carrier for their "insurance", but rather SELF INSURE. Self insure means if you take out the "insurance" and your stuff gets damaged, AND OH IT WILL, you submit the claim to them, they deny 75% of the damage and send you a pathetic check. Then you go through a joke of mediation and recover a meager additional portion. All the while they are telling you that you need to take some ownership in the process too. EXCUSE ME! We had over $6,000 in damage, double charged us for the "insurance", lied on the inventory, and rushed the process on the receiving end so badly that the walls and furniture sustained additional damage.
