Medical Weight Loss
Dr Wood has many years of experience working with overweight and obese patients. Dr Wood started his own personalized weight loss clinic 5 years ago for established patients only. Dr Wood will routinely witness a weight loss of 30 – 50 pounds in 6 months if all protocols are followed. The weight loss clinic follows basic principles of diet and exercise. Patients are given monthly assignments to keep detailed food journals. Each month Dr Wood or his nurse practitioner will sit down with you to provide counseling regarding weight loss. Dr Wood can use weight loss medications to improve your experience if needed.
Primary Care
We accept most medical insurances. Call your insurance company and instruct them to make Dr Mathew Wood your new primary care provider. You will be required to show your ID as well as your insurance card at each visit. You will also be required to pay your Co-Pay. We do have debit and credit card payment options. Family Practice
Dr. Wood founded Wood Family Medicine in 2009. He graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006. He returned to the Ohio Valley to complete his residency training at Wheeling Hospital specializing in Family Medicine. Dr. Wood served in the United States Marine Corps from 1993 to 1998 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Dr Wood enjoys the outdoors and traveling.
