MLVC has taken care of every pet I've ever had! My childhood cat is perfectly heathly at 19 years old and receives the very best treatment and care. All of the techs and staff are WONDERFUL to work with, and go above and beyond to ensure the best care. Couldn't imagine using anyone else with my fur baby!

DO NOT GO HERE. My parents and I have always used Maple Lane for all of our pet’s needs. This week I was given a quote of $623.00. This would be in addition to the potential cost (upwards of $800.00) of the orthopedic surgery he ‘may’ need in the next couple weeks. I asked for a breakdown and I explained to the technician that IF there were any, we would like to go a more conservative route and she said she’d speak with the vet and call me back. I received a call from the Owner/Veterinarian herself (Dr. Ann Gardener) who had a poor attitude from the very beginning of the call making me feel stupid for simply asking questions, after trying to explain that I was just trying to be responsible financially, I was called INHUMANE because I was asking to be called BEFORE she retracted any teeth from my 4-year-old dogs mouth. Dr. Gardner and her entire office staff, technicians and receptionists, made me feel as though I was a complete idiot and a terrible person. We chose to have pets, so we accept the responsibility of caring for them and paying for necessary procedures. I am willing to do whatever my pet needs to be healthy no matter the cost, however, I also have to be able to pay my mortgage so my dogs have somewhere to live. I have no issue making things work and figuring out things financially when it comes to caring for my pet. I would have made this work with Maple Lane had they not been so disrespectful. The treatment I was given verbally by this office is unacceptable. My pets are my children, it is already hard enough knowing that your pet isn’t feeling well, so it’s extremely hard to hear from the Veterinarian that I am INHUMANE for trying to come up with a cost-effective procedure plan that works for everyone. We will no longer be using Maple Lane for any services, we are transferring all of our records and our pets will be treated elsewhere.

It is the best veterinary clinic in the area. As a foreigner, I feel like in home when I visit them. My Guatemalan cat loves all the staff, mainly because they have a technician who speak Spanish. I recommend this place for all the animal lovers. 100% professionalism and reasonable prices.

I don't even know where to start. I have been taking my pets to Maple Lane for a while now and I couldn't be more happy! Dr. Gardner has been amazing and take the most wonderful care of my fur babies (I have quite a few :) ). First let me talk about my pug Mini. I adopted her a few years ago very overweight. She was at a whopping 36 pounds! She has been seen by other vets but none of them cared as much as she did. About a year ago she started having seizures. I was devastated, the entire team at Maple Lane didn't hesitate to get her in immediately! Dr. Ann Gardner got her seizures under control and has help me understand tremendously about how her weight was affecting her. With the help of the staff Mini is down to 23 pounds! She hasn't had a seizure since I can't remember when! Without them, I don't know if she would still be with me. This is just the tip of my iceberg! Maple Lane has helped me with my kitty that was unable to pee, my dog Abby who is scheduled next week to have surgery on her knee. As far as prices go, can't beat their prices! I have never felt overcharged. I can tell the whole staff cares about me and my pets!

DO NOT Take your pets here. I ...

DO NOT Take your pets here. I have a dog that has a broken leg and needs bandage changes every week. I took my dog in to maple lane once for a bandage change. I picked my dog up that evening and they informed me everything looked good and that they put a bag under his ace bandage. This was new to me.. I said that isn't going to allow his leg to breath and when his leg sweats it is going to cause a problem. he informed me he knew what he was doing and that it would be fine. I called Virginia Tech Vet school and informed them about the wrap and they said that that was not a good idea to wrap his leg in that manor. Two days later i noticed his leg was sliding around in the cast. Because they charged me 100$ for a 15 min ace bandage wrap i couldn't take him in because i had no money left. I went back to maple lane to see if i could buy some wrap from them and just do it myself as i have done a few time in the past. They said that My dog ace had cleaned them out of supplies and that they didn't have any. After finally finding some wrap i went home to cut his bandage off and what do you know from the top to bottom of the bag was soaking wet. I brought the bandage into maple lane and showed the front desk because Dr Gardener was not there. She examined the wrap with another employee there and they agreed it was from condensation forming under the bag. I demanded my money back and they said Dr Gardener had final call on that and he would call me next week. I had to call him and he argued and was so rude on the phone. He said that my dog licked it and got it all wet and he said they would have reimbursed me if i brought him back in. Lol why would i bring him back because of what you did and you guys said there was no more supplies for my dog.. I said sir your employees saw the wrap and it was obvious on what happened. He said they don't know anything and he was the doctor. Much more to the story.

He did not refund me any money and said it was my fault that i cut the cast off. The wrap was suppose to last 7 days not one. Virginia Tech vet school told me that it was very good that i cut his cast off and that if it would have stayed on like DR Gardener said then his skin probably would have rooted off and he would of had to get skin grafts and maybe lost his leg. He doesn't know what he is doing and they charge way to much for their serious. Please take your pets elsewhere so you don't have to go thought something like this.

One more thing he almost refunded only half of my money but he said i had to send him an email stating i needed to be reimburse because i cut the cast of early and that they were helping me out with my dog. Because this is not what happened we argued and he hung up the phone. He is a jerk!

Dear Maple Lane Staff:

We are writing to let you know that we were very disappointed with the way you handled our dog, Dobbie’s most recent illness. We brought her in for treatment on Monday the 19th and picked her back up on the 20th. When she was picked up we were told to bring her back if her condition worsened. On Friday afternoon at 3:46 we called in because her condition had significantly worsened, however, we were told she could not be seen until the next morning at 9:30 and that we should administer an additional Phenobarbital pill. Her condition continued to deteriorate and we called again at 5:16 and were told to take her to the emergency vet. So when you said on Tuesday to bring her back if her condition worsened, apparently what you really meant was if her condition worsens bring her back if it’s convenient for us. We might be more understanding if the first call was after hours but it wasn’t. We were desperate for some help with our family member and your lack of compassion is disturbing. Since you didn’t call to see why we didn’t keep the Saturday appointment perhaps you were just glad not to be bothered on the weekend. Well, we won’t be bothering you any longer because Dobbie had to be put down Friday night at the emergency vet. This did not need to happen in a strange place and by a strange caregiver but it did. We will be finding a new vet for Danny because we do not believe that we should have to beg for help during regular office hours (this actually is not the first time we needed to bring a dog in quickly and got turned down). We have always paid our bill in full on the day of services and do not understand why you could not see to be there when we needed you the most. We will not be recommending your practice to anyone.

Sincerely,
