I would not leave my dog here for one second. On Tuesday, 8/6, I witnessed a man beating his dog outside this place (in the back between Walgreens) and when I called the salon they acted like complete idiots and had no care in the world that a small, tiny dog was just beaten and being brought to their place of business.

My son took the family Labradoodle Sandie, to “For Paws Only, 1681 Bonaventure Blvd, Weston FL” to be groomed on Oct 31, 2011. When my son returned home with the dog, the dog had a large patch of hair missing down to the skin on her right side. The area was about 6 in long by 3 in wide, just about the size of misguided dog clippers. Something happened while the dog was getting groomed. We took the dog to our vet to make sure her skin was not damaged. He said it was ok, but the hair would grow back dark brown, not the light beige color of the rest of her coat. When we bought her, we paid a premium for a Labradoodle with a uniform beige coat. Now we have a Labradoodle with a large dark brown patch on her light beige coat. We still love her the same, but she is damaged now. When we returned to For Paws Only, we were met by nothing but denial. “Oh no…not us”… “The dog came in that way.” What!! I asked why the incident wasn't mentioned to us when we picked up the dog, but they could not come up with an answer. They were trying to cover it up that's why. Did they think we were not going to notice a very large patch of hair missing on our family dog? They gave every excuse in the book, but not one apology. The owner down right denied any problem. When the groomer said that's the way the dog came in, I knew we were dealing with a very poorly run, dishonest business where they lie right to your face. You can always tell how reputable a business is by the way they handle the customer's problems. If I could go negative star rating I would.
