DO NOT USE THIS ROOFING SERVICE!!!



The guy who runs this operation (Andrew's Roofing), Ted Miller is a flat out liar. He did a repair job at my house, charged twice his original estimate ($1,500), and "sincerely" professed a 2-year guarantee against further leakage. Well, I started noticing dampness inside the house in the same spot of the original leakage a few months after he completed his job. The area continued to show dampness after rainy days and finally after a more recent heavy rain, the area was wet to touch and sight. I called, spoke to Ted and reported the problem. On the day he was due to come out, I spoke with him in the morning and after suspicious questioning from him about the location of my house and whether anyone was home on the preceding day, he claimed that one of his workers stopped by and inspected the roof. At this point, I knew where this was likely going. Indeed, he then claimed that the leakage was due to other problems, not the work he guaranteed and therefore, he was not responsible for the repairs. As I was repeating my points regarding his original $1500 charges, his 2-year guarantee (it was now 1-year later), and the ongoing signs of dampness, he called me a "crybaby" and abruptly hung up the telephone. Subsequently, I went to the side of the house where he claimed his worker had been to inspect the roof and there were no signs of a ladder being positioned in the area. The recent rains indeed saturated the lawn and if a ladder had been placed there, there would have been clear signs of compression in the lawn as I have seen in the same area time and time again even when walking through after heavier rains. Of course he did not know this. Furthermore, it rained the preceding day which made it unlikely that his worker happened to be out in my area (clear across town from Westland) on another job and stopped by (he already canceled an earlier visit due to rain). So, in my assessment of things, he flat out lied to me about the inspection. This apparently was all a part of his scheme to charge me again for work in the same area of the roof that he "so sincerely" guaranteed after charging me twice the amount of his original estimate, which in retrospect I now see as a scheme in itself. His advertisement of being accredited by the Better Business Bureau also appears fictitious as my recent check indicates that Andrew's Roofing at 8249 Fremont in Westand, Michigan is not a member and does not have BBB accreditation. The guy's a crook. I will be bringing a small-claims suit against him. DO NOT USE ANDREW'S ROOFING OR TED MILLER. HE WILL PREY, CAJOLE AND DISHONESTLY EXPLOIT CONSISTENT WITH ANY SOCIOPATHIC CHARACTER.

Stay away from this contractor. They do poor quality work and don't stand behind it.

I hired them to repair several leaks on my flat roof. They repaired them and the next week at least half were still leaking. Their one year guarantee is a total joke. I called them at least a dozen times. When they promised a return visit, they never showed. Other calls were responded to with numerous excuses as to why they were unable to return
