New Construction
Shoreline Foundation appreciates this opportunity to familiarize you with the capabilities of our unique construction company. Founded in 1986, Shoreline Foundation provides specialty marine, heavy highway, and deep foundation construction services at locations throughout the eastern United States and the Caribbean.
Demolition
With the raw materials on location, the construction process began with the demolition of the existing dilapidated concrete docks and marginal walkways that formed the perimeter of the marina. Installation of the new bulkhead required a total of 2,200 lineal feet of cantilevered steel sheet pile with a concrete cap. With the bulkhead in place, portions of the 13 acre marina basin were maintenance dredged to create water depths of up to 16 feet. A new curved perimeter wooden walkway with access to finger pier dock slips, an expansive marginal dock, and the addition of a state-of-the-art fuel dock facility completed the construction process. Because of careful planning and project management, Shoreline was able to complete the reconstruction of the marina in the amazing time of nine months.

Landscaping
The process of preparing an estimate begins with a thorough review of a project’s scope of work and a meticulous analysis of the design submitted by the client’s engineer. Site visits are conducted to insure access for construction equipment, bathymetric surveys and soil boring data are reviewed and pre-bid meetings are attended. Analysis includes performing construction “take-offs” to determine material quantities, contacting material suppliers for pricing, obtaining bids from specialty electrical, plumbing, paving, landscaping, etc.
Excavation
Barry is an accomplished Project Management Executive with demonstrated strengths in marine construction operations as well as large scale, high-end, multi-million dollar projects. He is an extremely hands on partner, directly accessible to clients with a proven ability to continuously deliver results. His technical expertise is in deep foundation pile shoring design as well as strong capabilities in underground shoring. He is very versatile in design/build process of marinas with an expertise in excavation. Barry is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all field activities for ongoing projects.
Retaining Walls
The projects of the Heavy Highway Division include driving of pre-cast concrete pilings, steel I-beams, steel H-beams, large scale cofferdams, and tunnel structures. Most of these projects are publicly owned and financed. The Heavy Highway Division compliments the work of both the Marine and Deep Foundation Divisions. Design-build services are always available to our clientele, which includes local, state, and federal government entities such as the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County, the State of Florida, the Florida Department of Transportation, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Many of South Florida’s recently completed large scale public works projects have employed the SFI Heavy Highway Division. Riders of MetroRail, as well as visitors to the Miami International Airport and the Port of Miami have benefited from our work.
