The idea for the name was to create a company that could accommodate peoples 9 to 5 schedules, hence After 5ive. The owner of the company is a licensed contractor and also has degrees in architecture and interior design. We are also licensed for type 1 refrigeration, mold inspections & remediation, hurricane retrofit certification, and property adjusting.

        We do everything from fixing appliances to building a kitchen right out of a decorators magazine !! We also understand real estate and property management businesses, because we own property also, so repairing anything for an out of town landlord to meeting with the homeowners association to take care of their property is right up our alley as well. If you are putting on an addition, there will be no more mis-communications between the architect and the contractor because we are the same person. Being a mold remediator and property adjuster give us the ability to make sure this type of problem does not creep up on you, wreak havoc & dealing with insurance adjusters and companies really is not that bad.

        Ira Steinberg is by far the wo...

        Ira Steinberg is by far the worst business man we have encountered. He came to our home to do an inspection for our insurance company a while back. After missing our first appointment, we finally were able to reschedule and he was so late for that appointment that he had to come twice. When he arrived at our home, an hour late, it was clear that something was off with his mannerisms. After discussing random facts of his life, such as his religion and how much he can bench press, he took a few photos and said don't worry, your house looks great.

        One month later we were contacted by our insurance company that they were dropping coverage due to his fabricated inspection. The insurance company is already sending out a new representative because they were astounded by what they heard.

        SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will do you dirty. There is a reason there are no reviews on here after 2013.

        We used After 5 for a renovation/addition. They were professional and worked quickly to provide the finished product. Workers ensured the area was cleaned up from debris and broom swept every day they worked. Our addition looks great!

        We had a bathroom added to our facility. The owner was very accommodating and humorous. The employees were truly skilled and thorough. Our finished bathroom is lovely.

        Renovating my 1000sq.ft. condo...

        Renovating my 1000sq.ft. condo took 5 months and was never finished. They did not honor the contract and walked out leaving us with bills that were their responsibility as was specifically stipulated in the contract. Very disappointing.
