John Reynolds Design Associates (JRDA) is a small company with 25+ years of first hand experience in the custom design-build field. Our office is located in the Borough of West Chester in Chester County which is in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Most of our projects are in the surrounding areas. John Reynolds, who is both the principal and head Designer, established the Company was in 1978. He has a formal education, as well as a working background in Business Management and Architectural Design. He holds Bachelor degrees in both Business and in Architecture. Before founding JRDA, his first hand design experience and construction management skills were acquired over many years spent as a Project Architectural Designer involving various types of projects with several Architectural firms. JRDA is dedicated to Historic Preservation and specializes in classically designed custom residential and small commercial design-build projects. Our commissions cover a wide range including historic restorations, rehabs, adaptive use, conversion projects as well as new buildings from the ground up. These projects range in size from Arts & Crafts cottages and reproduction carriage houses to multi-million dollar homes and office buildings. We typically both design and build each project, but we will also consider building unique custom projects designed outside the firm.
