General Info

The Sheriff Department is affiliated with the Waukesha County, Wis. It provides a wide range of services, such as treatment of drug addiction, canine support, crime prevention, tactical enforcement and underwater search and rescue services. It also provides computer forensic, accident analysis, crime scene documentation and clerical services. It additionally offers law enforcement service to unincorporated areas of the county. The department also provides security for the courthouse and its branches and court commissioners. Its jail division maintains more than 469-bed facility which houses male and female, pretrial and sentenced offenders. It also offers special programs for the inmates, such as adult basic education, adult high school classes, career education, religious counseling, alcohol and addiction education programs.
