Absolutely amazing place for hair braiding. Prices are also reasonable. Money wasn wasted at all. Lovina is the owner of the shop and you can tell she has a very strong work ethic and is very driven. That lady means business and she knows what sheś doing.

I had my micros done here and it only took four hours. They usually have more than one person working on your hair so it's get done more sooner. Not only is the speed fast but the hair was also perfect, it didn't look like it was rushed at all. When I came home I took a hand mirror to look at the back and it's really full so it doesn't look like there are any bald patches.

I've been going to this shop for yrs and needless to say. I've been nothing but satisfied each and every time I walk out. not only am I satisfied when leaving but that satisfaction for the most part tends to last for at least 2 months when I get my braids done. So I'm kind of surprised at some of these negative reviews I've been seeing regarding Lovina's shop. they do such an intricate look great job on my hair. There's nothing anyone can do or say to make me transition from going to this shop to another. LOVINAS AFRICAN BRAIDS IS EVERYTHING PLUS 1 ! I'm dedicated to going back to this shop faithfully. It's literally like my second home. We love you Lovina!!

Lovinas hair is the best place to braid your hair. They take good care of your hair and ensure you are pleased leaving the salon. I have done both sew in and braiding and they are the best at it. I know the owner and she is very nice.. Give her a call for your braiding, sew-in and other hairstyles.

I have had twists and micros done here and I am always more than pleased when I am done. The ladies are quick and the prices are right.

This is my third time at the shop, and it's always a positive experience! They are quick, neat and very customer service orainted. I would recommend this shop for anyone wanting to get any style of braids.

I recently came to this shop last Wednesday to get my box braids installed in, I was completely satisfied witht he results afterwards. The stylist there are very hard working , determined and focused. I notice that they will sit for hours until your hair is completely finished and won't take any breaks at all! Lol. As cliche as this may sound, the service there was literally actually great! They will definitely hook you uo for sure! It doesn't matter whether your hair is short or long they can grip short hair very well because I have very short hair. The quality is also very good. The price may be a little on the pricey side, but it's well worth it because they do a very neat job, it's not tacky at all, it's last very long! Anyway, I've been praying for a shop near my area like this and it looks like my prayers have been answered. If you want your hair hooked up and to last long; I recommend Lovina's shop.

I will recomend this place to anyone. After calling more than three places I was desperate that no one will ever be able to braid my hair, but when I went to lovina's shop she was abble to grabbe every little bit of my hair. Lovina shop is the best even the price are very reasonable, anyone who need their hair braided should come to lovina she will hook you up and you will not never disapointed. I would not reccomend this place to any of my friends. My overall experience there when I first got it done was decent. It took a while but I knew what I was getting myself into because I have done Senegalese twists on my own hair right before. When they were finished my hair was flawless. It was a tad bit expensive but I was happy with how it looked...at first. Not even a week later my back twists were just falling out. Yes, they just started slipping out. My hair wasn't in a ponytail so there were no tension on it, no oil, hadn't washed it, nothing. I went back and called and they said it was because my hair was short. Let me remind you I had done them BY MYSELF before and I had no problems. I never did em before and I learned about an hour before doing them by watching youtube videos and I repeat I had no problems. The ones I did myself lasted two months. So I went back and the girl who knows how to grip short hair wasn't there so they had somebody else do it. My hair is not that short. They still fell out a couple days later so I had to redo them myself. I thought I would be okay after that but no the middle of my hair they are all hanging by the end. It looks like I've had them in for years but it hasn't been a month. I've had braids and twists before so I know how to take care of them so there should be no reason for my hair to look the way it does. I feel dumb for spending so much money here when I could of just took off work to do them myself. I also feel dumb for recommending her the first few days I got them done while I was at work. NO. I would NEVER go back to this place.

I have been coming to Lovina's African Braids for years now and have not been disappointed. The best and neatest braids or twists ever...the atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is professional & friendly. The pricing is unmatched & I love how I always get compliments everywhere I go when I get my hair done. Highly recommended & definitely a repeat and satisfied customer :)

Thank you Lovina for doing such a good job on my hair. My sisters, my mother and I were very satisfied with the job you did in our hair. Its been a week that you did my hair but it seems like I just got done. Everybody keep complimenting my hair saying that they have done such a good job on my twist. At Lovina, you will never be disappointed, their price twist are very cheap than other shop and their work are very neat, people love to sabotage someone name especially when they are doing a good job. Lovina, you are the best in all Waukegan, client don't let any bad comment disappoint you, come and see in your own eye Lovina is the best shop that you will never have in Waukegan.

I was never satisfied doing my hair with another shop than lovina. Lovina did my twice two days ago and im in love with it and anyone who see it love it. Lovina she is so nice and her worker are wonderful, they did their my hair fast and neat, their price are very reasonable more than any other place. But all I know lovina and her staff do a good job and if u want to know it and experience it go their and judge by urself, u will have it the way u want it and a better price. I love u lovina and ur job u done to my hair.

First of all , Lovina's African braids is a very bad place to go get your hair done .. she allowed her client to sweep her floor, she charges ridiculous prices for sengelease twist, corn rows and more , plus she's shady , they need to get a babysitter for them kids because they should be focuses on there clients hair . Instead of running behind those kids , they be all in your phone when they should be doing your hair , and I got my sengelease twist done two days ago and the next day they started to come undone .. Beware .. don't let them fool you when they say there hair is 100% human because if you put a hot curler to it it'll 100% MELT .. I'll be sure to refer absolutley noone else to this shop even the ppl I referred weren't happy with what they were charged or they way things were .. run hopping from one person's head to the next without even finishing the job come on .. you gotta do better than than .. ill just go to another place next time .. and that's real.
