        Founded in 1986, the Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center is one the first freestanding outpatient surgery centers in Connecticut. The center is licensed by the state of Connecticut as the Ambulatory Surgical Center, is certified by Medicare and is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. It offers primary care, emergency medicine, cardiology services, memory loss assessment, gastroenterology, oncology and pulmonary services. The center also provides several orthopedic health care services, including joint replacement and orthopedic, spine, hand, and foot and hand surgeries. The Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center maintains a location in Waterbury, Conn.
