Overall

I have been a patient at WBO for 4 years. Dr,Guglielmo is my doctor. We have had our ups and downs over the years. They did a back surgery on me in May 2012. And another in April 2013. I've been going to pain management for 4 years. Both surgeries were unsuccessful. I've had 3 discs removed, bone fusions, and have 2 titanium rods and 6 screws in my back. And declared Totally Disabled. My biggest issue is trying to get ahold of her when a problem arises. Her secretary Cindy is very nice when I'm in the office, BUT when I need to speak to Dr Guglielmo . I can never reach her. Over the past 4 years I have called at least 10 times. Cindy is NEVER at her desk or just refuses to answer the phone. So I get voicemail everytime. I leave a message and not once have she or Dr. Gugliemo ever gotten back to me. Sometimes the issue is very important and all I get is Crickets. That is not a good Doctor/ Patient relationship. I wish I had gone to the Laser Spine Institute for a second opinion. Before I let them open me up. If they made more of an effort to communicate with their patients or get back to them. At least you would feel you're relevant. Time to look for another doctor.

I have an extensive history with this practice - my family has had referrals to them for years. Each and every appointment consists of more than a 45 minute wait. Today, my husband had an appointment at 8:30, first appointment. He was not seen until 9:50. At that point, the doctor spoke to him for 5 minutes, brushing off his pain and moving him on to xray without any follow up. I understand that MRIs are necessary, but to wait an hour and 20 minutes with a three year old to be seen for 5 minutes is ridiculous. The office staff acts as if it is the patient's fault for asking if we have been forgotten. They overbook and then rush you through the appointment. This has been my experience with 4 of their doctors.

Dr Alford

Is a pretty good Doc. but likes to push too hard to get you back to work. Wouldn't listen to me when i told him that i was still having problems with my arm. Just kept pushing me away. Now after 2 yrs of being out of work, still in court, still under another doc care, and 1 yr after surgery im going for surgery yet again. Now If Doc Alford would have listen to me this could have been taking care of earlier.

Watch out for him and make sure he listens to your problems.
