AVOID.

Purchased online, paid, sent FFL info, inquired about status a few days later and got a reply e-mail that the pricing on my item had gone up and I would need to pay $50 more if I wanted to complete transaction.

Poor business practice, poor customer service, not interested in dealing with shady dealers like this.

Buyer beware.

Not worth shopping here. This place has the least attentive staff in RI. If you shop here be prepared to be ignored. The prices are not that good either.

They were selling a gun on gunbroker.com and when I made an inquiry to buy they told me to call to order. I called, placed my order on the 24th and my card was charged the same day. Never received any order number or confirmation email. The FFL was sent to them on the 31st and it wasn't until I emailed them on the 9th that I found out, "All set gun left shout have it shortly". They charged $35 for 2nd day shipping and won't or can't provide a tracking number, let alone get it to me within two weeks. It's the 16th and my FFL still hasn't received it. Also because they circumvented gunbroker.com I can't leave feedback so they maintain an A+ rating.



Meanwhile I purchased a gun through Buds Gun Shop on Jan 5th and my FFL had it on the 8th. I like to support smaller gun shops, but their customer service has been atrocious and $35 2nd day shipping is a joke. As a result I'm out of pocket $600+ with nothing to show for it.

I don't understand the bashing reviews below. I have bought many firearms from D&L and NEVER had an issue whatsoever, I think they have a Much larger selection than any other firearms shop I've been to, I also think that they have very good knowledge of firearms. I walk in with complete confidence that whatever firearm I'm looking for they will have or definetly be able to get within days, I've been to other stores that didn't have 30% the selection they have (so I don't get that one?)....top dealers in the state

Terrific! I've dealt with them several times and have been equally pleased each time. Very surprised to read negative reviews here. Miserable people I guess.



Ask for Mike (owner's son), he's extremely knowledgeable and does spend time with you.

I would avoid this place at all cost. They don't have a problem taking your money.... When it comes to customer service, well there is none. Phone is always busy, they don't answer any emails, can't answer questions when you finally get someone. When I purchased my pistol they said they had an order in and it would only be a week till I get the pistol. Well, a month and a half later still no pistol and no contact was made to me from the store in regards to this issue. Once again, they had no problem taking the payment in full (for a quicker response). From viewing other responses I guess I'm not to far off from others. Take that for what it's worth. First and last time ill ever buy or step foot in that store again!

Selection is good not great, normally always the same firearms...3 due to the bad staff. There are a few emp. who truly care. Economy...you need to bargain with the cust. Cust. is first.

The owner Alan and myself go back about 20 years when he had his little store on Warwick Ave next to Dunkin Donuts.I had a best friend who always bought the same guns as i did when we purchased them. Over the 20 years I can confidently say that my friend and I spent well over $20,000 at D &L firearms.When i first started doing business with Alan,he alsways gave us great deals.Taking a lot of the retail price. So we stayed loyal. I moved out of state and returned back to R.I. 5 years later. I see he has a new store and new help ( who know little to nothing about firearms) and his 2 kids work there. I went to see him and recently purchased a few firearms from him. I did notice that when I reunited with him that he didn't seem like the "same Alan" . More business like and not engaging the cutomers. My friend had passed away while I was out of R.I. His wife needed money and wanted to sell his firearms back to Alan. He had 2 Browning fireproof safes (new) and he owned about 40 pistols and rifles and he had his grandfathers collection also which was about 20 more pistols and rifles. That's a lot of firearms all in pristine condition. His wife sold a few guns back to Alan and he gave her next to nothing. She took her business to Cranston gun and coin and sold everything to them ( your loss Alan) for being cheap and foolish. Alan has forgotten where his humble beginings started. And the people who were his top cutomers two being myself and my friend.Now it's all about money. He didn't even knock a dime off the three firearms I purchased from him. Alan has turned into a Pig. He has no competition from Post Road Guns, Quick Arms, North Main street guns. So now he has a Monopoly on the gun sales business in this area. I have my CCW permit so I can buy my firearms( pistols) from that state and have them shipped here.How much (greed) is enough Alan ?

Large store with a huge selection. Salespeople are helpfull but the place is WAY over priced! At least 30% higher than other shops.
