Electrocardiogram
Yes. You will need to have lab work done within 30 days of your procedure. Dr. Behmand’s surgery coordinator will provide you with a lab requisition form during a pre-operative appointment. Some patients might also need an EKG. This will be determined during your initial consultation, and, if necessary, Dr. Behmand’s coordinator will provide you with this requisition form at the pre-operative appointment as well.

Pregnancy
Labor and Delivery
For most women, childbirth and becoming a mother are two of the most beautiful and transforming experiences in life. However, childbirth can affect the body in many different ways. Some patients are lucky enough that with proper diet and exercise, they are able to return to their pre-baby body. For others, even with the strictest of diets and exercise, the pre-baby body is still unattainable. This could be due to genetics, hormones, breast feeding, or simply an excess of skin from body growth during pregnancy, which typically no amount of diet or exercise can reduce.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound-assisted liposuction or UAL: This is a two-step process that uses sound wave energy to break down and liquefy the fat before it is suctioned. This technique is often most useful in highly fibrous fatty areas such as the upper abdomen, enlarged male breasts, and the lateral thigh and hip areas.

General Surgery
Healing the Children is a charitable organization that coordinates trips all over the world, providing medical care, surgery, and medical supplies to children in need who may otherwise never have the opportunity to be treated. This program runs solely with the assistance of donations and volunteers. Dr. Behmand traveled to Cartagena, Colombia, with “Healing the Children” in year 2000, to provide reconstructive surgical services to children with congenital deformities. The main focus of this mission was to help children with cleft lips and palates, facial deformities, burn scars, and foot/hand deformities. On the first two days of the mission, hundreds of patients and their families were seen in the clinic to be evaluated for surgery. The initial triage days were followed by six intense surgical days, each day starting in the dark of morning, with a tightly filled schedule. The goal was to safely treat as many children as possible on every surgical day. Dr. Behmand has said, “Each night we left the surgical facility well past midnight, through lines of patients with their families, still waiting, hoping they would eventually have their much needed surgery. There was a feeling among the medical staff that every hour counted.”
Ear Surgery
Dr. Behmand performs ear surgery by contouring, repositioning, and reshaping the ear cartilage. These adjustments are based on the anatomic origins of the unwanted shape. By meticulously shaping the ear cartilage and sculpting the key elements seen in the normal ear, Dr. Behmand is typically able to create a more desirable appearance for the ear. Incisions are generally well-hidden in the crease at the back of the ear and are often not visible once the normal healing period has taken place.

Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation, or the placement of breast implants, is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the volume and shape of the breasts. For most of our patients, the ultimate goal of breast augmentation is to increase the size of the breasts while maintaining a desirable form, firmness, and natural appearance.
Breast Reduction
Women who have breasts which are proportionately too large for their bodies may face medical problems as well as aesthetic concerns. Dr. Ramin Behmand can help to relieve some of these issues by performing breast reduction, also known as reduction mammaplasty. This surgery is designed to decrease the size of the breasts and make them more proportional to the rest of the body.
Breast Lift
Nipple reduction surgery addresses the size and length of enlarged nipples. When indicated, this procedure can also be combined with a breast lift to help reduce the general size and circumference of enlarged areolas. Nipples can often become enlarged due to hormonal changes, genetics, pregnancy, breast feeding, or weight gain. Enlarged nipples may result in embarrassment or the inability to wear certain clothing for fear of exposing the nipples. Chin surgery is frequently an effective complement to our rhinoplasty procedure. Together, a small chin extension and refined nose shape can often help to optimize the profile. This subtle change can dramatically improve the overall shape and balance of your face, potentially leaving you with a stronger sense of confidence.
Plastic Surgery

Thigh Lift
While traditional plastic surgery procedures, such as tummy tuck, can help with excess skin in the abdomen, additional procedures, such as a lower body lift and buttock lift, may be required to achieve desired results following weight loss. In post-bariatric weight loss patients, the upper arm lift and thigh lift are somewhat similar in technique and principle. These procedures are usually performed to address sagging skin from the arms and legs. Blepharoplasty
Transjunctival Blepharoplasty: Also addressing the lower eyelid, transjunctival blepharoplasty is a surgical approach that removes and/or relocates excess fat through an incision made on the interior of the lower eyelid. This method is appropriate for individuals with under-eye fat pockets but minimal excess skin. As this technique requires no external incisions, there are typically no visible scars.
Abdominoplasty
Performed under general anesthesia, a mini tummy tuck is shorter in duration and recovery time than the regular abdominoplasty ( tummy tuck ) operation. Most patients are able to return to work within 10 days, and they are typically able to resume exercising approximately 4-6 weeks after the operation. Dr. Behmand uses a “drain-less” technique that eliminates the need for post-operative drainage tubes. This technique can significantly improve post-operative comfort and mobility.
Nose Surgery
Fat grafting can be performed to enhance the volume of certain facial features. Our patients find that a fuller face can add a youthful glow about them. This is a common addition to many facial procedures like face and neck lift, brow lift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), and rhinoplasty (nose surgery).

Laser Resurfacing
