American Income Life Insurance Company

I will try to make this short. My husband and I have life insurance policies with American Income Life Insurance since1989. I'm retired from General Motors and thru UAW we were offered life insurance and a retirement saving account with really good interest rates. Recently we decided to withdraw money from the savings accounts and the first time there was no problem although when I went to the office the security officer told me the bank was down the street. I could never understand why there was always security offers there and they had to buzz me in. After that I was told I had to send in a request and they would send it to my bank. Today my husband received a letter which was a request to cancel or surrender his policy. My husband is 82 and I'm 81. Do you think we would cancel a life insurance policy that we have been paying for since 1989? The letter was dated March 12, 2023 and the envelope was stamped on March 30, 2023 and he has 30 days to respond. You do the math. Today I went to the last office building I I was allowed to enter and there was no sigh for American Income Life Insurance. While sitting in the parking lot I called the office and asked where the office is located now. I was told there is no office for the public. What, no office for the public to speak to someone if they have a problem? Now let me say this, I have been calling for weeks for someone to explain to me where the extra money withdrawn from my checking account is going. They tell me both accounts are being paid monthly and everything is good. When I ask about the extra payment for my husband's policy they cannot explain where it is. I have decided no one at the Waco location knows what is going on.

I advise you to find another life insurance co.. Its seems as if nobody at this company is competent enough or qualified to sell life insurance. Heres the short version of my experience with the agents of this office and American Income Life. I am a 38 year old healthy non smoking man. Last year in September I applied for a life insurance policy. The company I used American Income Life(AIL) sent a new worker to Take mouth swabs to test for nicotine. They claim I tested positive and that my wife tested negative. They have reported this to The MIB consumer file and have been charging me as a smoker all this time without informing me of this. I was never notified of issue. I am not now nor have I ever been a smoker. My wife does smoke and they have her listed as a non smoker. I discovered this issue in January this year while applying for mortgage protection. I have tried for 4 months now to get AIL to fix there mistake with my policy as well as my MIB report. They Are in a round about way telling me that since 99% of people lie to them about smoking, That I also am lieing even though my medical record has always shown that I don't smoke. I have gotten nothing but a run around. they started out telling me that in order to correct issue I had to allow them to do another mouth swab to test for nicotine. So I did. Weeks went by. I contacted them Several times before being told that mouth swab wont work and now they need to do a full blown medical exam to test for nicotine. I asked other insurance companies about this as well as there lab and they agree that I am not being treated fairly. They dont need a full blown medical to prove I dont smoke, sounds like there trying to do something else.
