Ariana Restaurant

I had one of the best meals of my life last night at Ariana. The food was FANTASTIC and the service friendly and professional. This was my first time trying Afghan food; I wish I'd tried it earlier. It was simply delicious. It is spicy, but not hot. Spicy is defined here as being full of spices, not heat. The flavors of cinnamon, cardamom, allspice, candied orange peel, rosewater, etc., were blended in such a manner as to bring out the best flavor in the ingredients it graced; lamb, rice, etc. If you love espresso, be sure to order the Turkish Coffee; wonderful, but be warned, the coffee is so finely ground as to be suspended in the liquid. This just adds a richness to the flavor. I will also be adding a pinch of ground cardamom to my iced tea, like they do here. Such a wonderful flavor.



As you can probably tell from my review, this will definitely NOT be my last visit. I plan to dine here reguarly and bring some friends with me to experience the hospitality and cuisine that Ariana offers.
