I recently found myself in a very uncomfortable position of identifying an appropriate business to provide major repairs to my home. After 47 years of marriage with a husband who handled all such issues, I now had these responsibilities fully in my lap. It was a pleasure to work with a such a professional group of people who were understanding, polite, timely and ethical in their dealings. I was truly impressed with the professionalism of the young man, Chris, who installed the new gutter system. He was dynamic in performing his job. He understands customer relations and represents your company as if it is his own !!!
Lye and Mark thank you for putting together such an expert team. My few concerns were addressed immediately.

From the front office, there is Tim and Sales Manager, Bill.  Of course, the true "hands on" working team that consisted of 1 very tuff young woman and 4 men.  (Do you like the way I mentioned that very tuff woman.)  Lastly, Garcia, Doc and Tim were there today making sure that everything turned out well. Meet them at the home improvement show at the Virginia Beach Convention Center and they just stood out with the way they presented their product. We are very please that we chose them to side our house. The work was done efficiently and the final fit and finish was outstanding. We had the pleasure of hiring Custom Home Improvement to install Vinyl Soffit and Aluminum Trim on our house. I must say that after the job was complete, I could not have been more saitisfied with the entire experience. With the clean appearance of the soffit and the molding of the aluminum trim, the house now has a more finished look to it which makes it stand out among all the plain, cookie-cutter houses in our neighborhood.

I just had had all my windows replaced (23) in my home and I wanted to say thank you to folks at custom home improvements and especially chad. My home looks great and it definitely gives it a different look now that the windows are trimmed out. My wife and I recently had our roof done by your company in the middle of august. We are extremely pleased with the appearance of our new roof. Everyone on the crew and in the production office were very helpful in answering our questions during the installation. The crew arrived between 7 and 8 in the morning and had it completely done and cleaned up by 4 in the afternoon and it looked like they were not even there. I would definitely recommend this company to others and cant wait to see what they can do with my siding if the roof looks this good.

Custom Home Improvements (2000 General Booth Suite 204 Virginia Beach, Virginia – 757-689-2734) performed roof replacement at our house 6 Jun 2014. Team arrived at the agreeable time and date and immediately began the replacement project.

It was obvious from the beginning that safety was a priority for the team. Each yard item in the way was removed and walking areas were protected from roof debris. Project ended same day as scheduled with no injuries, no damage to premises, all removed items returned to place.

Most impressive – effective use of time and at the end of the day apart from the new roof it was impossible to tell that anyone work on our house that day. All removed yard items were returned to the exact location and nails and debris removed from the premises.

We are extremely pleased with our recent purchase of vinyl trim and eaves covering with your company. Many homes in our neighborhood, Hillcrest Farms, have been wrapped by various companies, and our neighbors were eager to refer us to the companies that had provided the service for them. We did get several estimates, but after meeting with Karen from your company, we were sold. She was pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient as she explained the many options for product installation and financing. She made a somewhat scary decision easy and comfortable.

The installment team, Jim and Phillip, were equally as terrific at their jobs. The gave us an overview of the job, then broke it down for us every step of the way so that we would understand what they were doing, and why. After asking our opinion on how we would like the crown molding to look, they made it happen with what seemed to be effortless skill, especially on extremely cold days. When most craftsman would have been driven inside by the cold, Jim and Phillip continued to come by every day, completing our job even before we expected. Their expertise shows in the finished product, from the beautiful bend in the top of the crown molding at the bottom of the wrap, to the perfectly symmetical inner and outer corners.

We are extremely happy with the finished product- which, in thruth, looks better than the other work that's been done in our neighborhood. From start to finish, your company treated us with respect, professionalism, and integrity. We will be recommending Custom Home Improvement of Hampton Roads in the future, and anyone who sees our beautiful home will be sold!

When my wife informed that she had set an appointment to get information on windows from a lady on the phone, my initial thought was here we go again (another company telling me a window will cost $1000 or more per window) and how do I get out of it.



From the initial time the representative walked through my door until the last window was installed - it was a good feeling being treated as a person and not just another client.



Randy T and Mr John McCabe not only were wonderful in the explanation of the product but actually listened to my concerns and made the project fit into my budget. Mr Tim in finance kept me in the loop on the status of my application and handled it diligently, he even presented me with a couple financing options to choose from. Chad Q and Chad B coordinated the entire project from the finalizing of the measurements for my custom made windows to the last window installed.



I am one of those people that believe you get what you pay for and from everything from the Product, Service and Price (which was no where the amount I mentioned above) My wife and I believe we got more than what we paid!

WONDERFUL! I could not have asked for a better company to come out and do work on our roof. From day one they were upfront about the cost and about how the whole event would happen. We had damages to our roof from a wind storm and we were working with our insurance company and that was a battle and one of the owners from Custom Home Improvements fought with us to get more for what we needed to be done. It was not a complete win on our side with the insurance company and we had to come out of pocket for some of the expenses but it was well worth it. The staff came out to start working on the removal early in the morning and did not seem like they took a break working until 7 pm! We have a larger home and to see that they had almost completely finished the roof within one day was great! We were so excited to see what it was going to look like. The next day they finished the work and cleaned up the yard just like the owner and sales manager said they would. We have two dogs so the nails were our biggest concern and I still have not found one to date. Great company I would recommend them to anyone!

We wanted to say thank you for the excellent job you did in redoing our vinyl siding. We were beside ourselves with the poor job we got from the first contractor we hired, who apparently did not actually know how to do siding, leaving us with being worse off than we were with our old siding. Everyone we worked with at CHI was professional, courteous, and friendly. As all the siding had to come off and be redone we really appreciated your assistance and willingness to use as much of the current Mastic siding as possible to try and help minimize the financial impact to us. The foam board you use behind the siding really added another layer of protection to the house and helped seal it. The entire job was done efficiently and with quality workmanship. Everything was fixed and fixed correctly.



I would also like to comment that it was great working with a company that does not require money up front to start the job. It reassures you that the job will be done to your satisfaction.
