        Victor Valley College is one of the leading providers of higher education in Northern California. Located in Victorville, Calif., the college has been operational for more than 60 years. Victor Valley enrolls more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually. The college provides associate of arts and sciences degrees and certificates of proficiency.         Great Opportunity for Higher Learning

        I am currently attending classes at Victor Valley College. After taking the assessment test for both Math and English placement, I find the remaining process of becoming a student at the college quite tedious. Between the various amount of forms and meetings (orientation, counselor's office, financial aid office, Bursar's office to purchase parking decals & student ID, the computer lab to register onto the student site WebAdvisor and student store for class materials/ books/ supplies), one can feel lost and become discouraged. Perhaps a campus *guide would help the new student(s) feel more at ease. I think better organization (and MORE financial aid attendants) would assist in students desire to further their education at Victor Valley College.



        However, I am impressed that Victor Valley College offers online classes and find this a good way for the working/ busy student to continue structured learning.



        *Suggestion: Perhaps a counseling credit could be given to returning students that volunteer to “guide” 5 students minimum per semester (must be done within the first 2 weeks of start of semester.
