        Overall

        Their food is great however they are so rude if you just walk in. I called today and the host practically hung up on me, very rude. I will not be coming back, and if I did I'm sure it would be a pain to get a reservation.

        Order Pecan crusted chicken and the green beans. Sit outside, on the RIVER! (heated or cooled, mosquito free) they had a delightful acoustic guitar player. Great food and atmosphere compensates for the slow service.

        Awesome Date Night Experience!

        My man and I had a wonderful experience at the Pumphouse on our date night. We are new parents to a 4month old girl and haven't gotten out much in the past months. The live acoustic tunes were entertaining throughout the evening. The entire experience from start to finish was perfect! Everything from the first sip of my subtle pinot noir, to the last bite of my mini banana pudding desert-which was delectable. The cheesy Mac-n-cheese appetizer bites were yummy to start off the meal. I chose the spinach salad with the sweet raspberry dressing for my meal--it was mouth watering! Also service was an A+! We are going back tonight!

        The PumpHouse Riverside Restaurant and Bar was Named Victoria's Best of the Best Overall restaurant by readers of The Victoria Advocate in their annual Best of the Best contest. All menu items are cooked to order from the freshest ingredients available. The executive chef was classically trained at the Connecticut Culinary institute and takes great pride in the dishes he prepares. The full bar offers an extensive wine list along with all of your favorite cocktails. Reservations are recommended, especially on Friday or Saturday nights or for Sunday brunch. Large groups can be accommodated with advance notice. The venue was actually the old water pumping station for the city of Victoria. Guests can choose from seating in one of the historic rooms or outside on the banks of the Guadalupe River. Live music is offered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and during Sunday brunch.
