Gastelum Tree Service

Gastelum removed my neighbor's tree (50'+) high. Due to the tree placement they needed to use my yard as the place to drop the tree. The tree had many top roots so I asked if they would remove them while they were there. The owner said yes, and it would be $200. They removed half of the roots and then left. When I inspected the area, I noted that they had cut all 3 of the separate sprinkler lines in the back yard, and not a little section. I know they saw what they did, as they removed a 5' section of pipe and laid it off to the side. I called the owner, and he showed up 3 hours late to the agreed upon time, and said he would send someone to remove the rest of the roots. He said he would not cover the damages to the sprinkler because it would be more expensive to fix, and I should have known they would cut the sprinklers that were under ground. Highly unprofessional for not talking to me at the time and for the overall treatment. They may be cheap, but hope nothing breaks or you are SOL.

We had a 70ft palm tree removed from a precarious spot in the yard. These guys not only removed the dead fronds and tree; they did it without killing my beautiful coastal plant that was planted too close to the palm. This was a positive experience for us at a decent price. We would recommend their services to anyone.

I asked for an estimate on 2 cracked sprinkler pipes and to mount a controller. They wanted $250 for what would take a competent landscaper a half-hour to accomplish and $300 for a controller! I tried to negotiate and he walked away saying that was it. Would not use them.
