If you want a great authentic meal come here. It's geared toward the discerning adult palate and is very eclectic. One of my best dining experiences in a long time and I have experienced many gastronomic Establishments. Nothing fried(thank God) but the food is actually cooked with passion. They also play real music. Thanks Danny!

I was taken here for a business lunch, you walk into a dining room with just a few tables. the aroma of the food cooking was wonderful! the owner walked out of the kitchen to greet us. you could tell how happy and proud he was to be running this new trattoria. there was no menu shown, he said do you guys like soup"? and proceeded to give us a soup, I don't know what it was called but it may be the best soup I've ever had. then the bread served with long hot peppers, mushrooms and onions, the pasta with garbanzo beans and a locally made sausage with peppers and onions. if you love good food, this place is great. for those out there with an Italian grand parent that is or was a great cook this place will be very familiar and comfortable for you.

stopped for lunch to see what things were like. Was so pleasantly surprised. lunch was a 3 course meal and each course better then the last. Being a trattoria, there is no menu. Was a bit concerned but wow what a great treat! Dan is a super cook and host.! Would highly recommend this place and go back!

went with a friend for lunch today & look forward to going back soon with our husbands & friends. No menu--you get what they're serving and there were no disappointments in our 3-course lunch that started with a lentil stew with chicken, followed by a delicious giambotta and then a campanelle pasta with chicken. really nice bread, more than generous portions and fair prices. delightful chef-owner. i'd put high on the list of good italian food available in Utica. we have lots of restaurants, but not so many really good ones.

Don't expect a menu, if you want to know what is being served call ahead, I would also call ahead if you have a large party. It's only open until 7pm but it is open for lunch and dinner. The meals are served family style and I guess what's being served is based on what he feels like making. Basically it is as if you are going to dinner at a friends home. A friend who likes to prepare Italian dishes. I went with my mother and sister not knowing what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised by what we found. The dining area is rather small but with plenty of room for each table so you don't feel squished. Our lunch was comprised of three courses and we could do no more than taste the final course, we were beyond stuffed. I brought the final course home and didn't have to make dinner for the family. Bonus!!

Great food. The food was fresh and very well prepared. Everything was made from scratch, nothing from a jar, can or frozen. You will be more than satisfied. Dining here is a must.

We came from out of town and happened upon this place - felt like we'd arrived at a long lost relative's house... so welcoming! And the food... the food just kept coming, and it was ALL delicious. I'm a picky eater and don't like getting to choose what I am eating - but everything here was exactly what I wanted somehow! It was all good, real food made well - delicious, filling and wonderful!

The Best food I've had since my homeland. Delicious and fresh. Very flavorful and unique taste. Just incredible food, atmosphere. The owner Dan makes the experience so much more special. New apreciation for Italian food.

Exceptional. Not the staples that are on every menu. There is no menu. Good wholesome "peasant food". Stop in. Relax. Enjoy.
