The Foundation School provides a range of academic and extracurricular options to students in grades 1 through 12. The school maintains a library that features a collection of books. It is approved by the State of Maryland and is a part of The Foundation Schools. Established in 1975, The Foundation Schools governs various independent, nonprofit schools that offer special education programs to students in Maryland and Washington D.C. The district s schools provide clinical programs that include individual and group therapies. Its schools offer classes in social, listening and communication skills development. The district s schools organize parent meetings. Its schools provide the Another Path program, which includes curriculum-based substance abuse education. In addition, the district s schools operate sewing, music and computer clubs. Its schools offer basketball, softball and volleyball programs.
