I vistied the Carolina Kitchen-Largo location on 4/5/08 @ about 8:30pm, we had to wait for about 30min to get a table in this tiny area. I didn't want to go to this resturant but, my son had seen the commerical & was dying to go. Beside the wait for a table, the food was terrible. The cornbread was dry; baked beans too sweet; collard greens tasted like somebody blanched them in vinegar; and the BBQ Beef Ribs was a stringy mess of meat with watered down BBQ sauce on top, talk about a mess, the whole meal was terrible. I would like to invite the owner, Lance London to come to New Orleans,LA on April 25-27 or May 1-4, to taste some REAL HOME COOKING. You can start @ Food Area-I found the Praline Connection for some simplily delious COLLARD GREENS; then go to Heritage Square- find Booth#53 "DOWN HOME CREOLE COOKIN" for BBQ Ribs; and for the best treat of all; Go to Food Area # I booth #18"Patton's Cateres" for some mouth watering Crawfish Sack, Oyster Patties, & Crawfish Beignet's. And Lance's that what HOME COOKING is all about. You might want to change the receipe on a few items or hire a Chief, I recommend, Walter Johnson.

I visited Carolina Kitchen on 04/11/08 and was pleasantly surprised! First the hospitality was wonderful. The waitress we had, was only on her first day of the job and she did an excellent job! However, it wasn't just her, the management came around to just chat and ensure everything was going okay. I have yet to receive this type of hopsitality anywhere else.
However, the absolute best part was the food! For an appetizer we chose the chicken wings. I normally don't even eat wings, but I ate these because they looked, smelled, and tasted delicious. Next, I ordered the fried whiting with baked beans and macaroni and cheese and it was absolutley wonderful! The food was seasoned to perfection, you would have thought that my mom had cooked it at her house. I even brought home some take-out for my boyfriend because i wanted him to experience the incredible food I got. So, for him I ordered spicy chicken with collard green and mac n' cheese. Even though he didn't get a chance to eat it for a few hours, the chicken had so much flavor! My mouth is still watering just thinking about this place. You have to visit, seriously, you are missing out if you don't!!!! They also quote their slogan as you leave which is "See ya tomorrow" and quite honestly they will probably see me tomorrow, this place is wonderful!
