Jose and Diana's Construction did and excellent job for me! I hired them to replace my tile roof , repair drywall, and replace light fixtures. They did not disappoint!! The work was done on time, everything was cleaned up each day until the roof was complete and the dry wall repair matched my existing walls exactly. All workers took great pride in their work. I would recommend Diana's to anyone.

We hired Jose in fall 2013 to fix some roof issues that had come up during the inspection on the sale of our house. He promptly arrived and inspected the roof and pointed out what needed to be done. His crew arrived on time fixed the issues and returned the next day to paint the repairs. he even went so far as to get s sample of the roof color and buy the paint so that it matched correctly. When done his crew cleaned up everything and left the area as they found it. I would strongly recommend Jose .

I called Jose to address the roof and fascia issues on a rental. He was prompt, attentive, and paid attention to detail. His crew worked quickly and cleanly and I have enthusiastically recommended him to others.

Jose did all of my work on my home.. one crew did the roof, one removed popcorn, another gave me "new walls" with 2 colors of paint, another did tile work and built me a new shower. And, ultimately they removed old dead cactus. I refer Jose and his team to all of my friends and business colleagues!

Overall
Concrete Overylay from Diana's Construction

Poor quality work - poor customer service. $2400 rip-off

1st job was 330 square foot room at a cost of $1200.

The 2 person crew showed up on time all 3 days.

When done, they completely cleaned up their mess inside and out.

The floor was beautiful. Smooth and shiney finish. Based on those results, we scheduled the second room.

2nd job was the ajoining master bedroom and bath - approximately 300 square feet at a cost of $1250.

On the scheduled day, I took off work. I assumed the workers would arrive at the same time as before which was 7am. After a call to the owner at 10am, the 2 person crew finally showed up at noon and got to work. When they were done 3 days later, I spoke with the owner by phone, he asked me if I was happy with the results. From what I could see, standing in the door way looking across the master bedroom, with the floor still wet from the sealer, I told him yes, I was satisfied and I wrote a check for the full amount and gave it to his worker. After they left I was in disbelief at the mess they left. They filled up my patio garbage so full of construction debris that it was too heavy to move. They mixed the concrete right on my patio leaving concrete splatter and residue everywhere. My 8ftx7ft patio mat was ruined and the track on my new sliding glass door was and still is caked with concrete residue. One of them spilled a milkshake on the patio and just left it. I noticed my puppy busy chewing on something foreign; a cigarette but. In the yard, flicking distance from the patio chairs they sat in while waiting for coats of overlay to dry, I collected 3 days worth of ciggarette butz.

I gave 72hrs for the sealer to cure before walking on the new floor. Wearing socks to be cautious, I quickly realized something was wrong. The floor was rough like sandpaper. I proceeded to the bathroom, the floor was even rougher in there. Imagine course grit sand paper. When I ran a dust mop, every bit of hair and dust clung to the floor. Imagine running a dust mop over sand paper. There were several cracks already after only 3 days. There were several areas with cracks that when tapped with a screw driver handle, sound hollow. The holes that the toilet mounting studs go into had been concreted over.

After calling the owner he arranged for someone to come out the following Friday between 7 and 9am. I took the day off, no one showed up. At 6:30 pm that night (11 hours late), one of his workers showed up but I was expecting dinner guests at 7 and had to send him away. After several more failed attempts to get someone out to address the issues, it became clear that Jose, the owner was just giving me the run-around.

Realizing Diana’s Construction was not interested in my problems, I decided to try to smooth out the roughness myself. Starting in the bathroom, I stripped the sealer. The sealer they used came off easily with dollar store cleaner mixed with water. While I was doing this, I could see that they did not clean the floor before staining and sealing. Each layer had concrete particles, dog hair, dirt and pieces of the string mop they used to apply the sealer, embedded in the layers.

Less than 4 months and $2400 later, both rooms look awful. My living room has a crack approximately 8 feet long. The surface has spots chinked out where I’ve set furniture. Scuff marks everywhere that I can’t clean because the sealer and stain come off ( I think this would have been prevented if the sealer they used hadn’t been so watered down). The living room needs to be stripped and resealed. The bedroom needs to have the sealer and stain stripped, the floor sanded down, then re-stained and sealed.
