Dr. Linda Schack received her M.D. degree from Tulane University in 1986. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and went on to pursue an adolescent medicine fellowship there. She then became an assistant professor of pediatrics and adolescent medicine at the UCLA Medical Center, leaving in 1994 to open her private practice. Dr. Schack is the Medical Director of Torrance Memorial Medical Center’s Medical Stabilization Program for Patients with Eating Disorders. She is a member of the Society for Adolescent Medicine and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics subboard of Adolescent Medicine.

Family Practice
I also view my relationship with my patients as a partnership, and work to empower my patients to take an active role in their health care. There is a natural continuum from the ten-year-old who is dependent on a parent to convey their family health history and childhood illnesses, to the college student who can confidently use this information during a visit to the student health center. Over a period of years, each patient is taught what they need to know when they go to an emergency room or see a new doctor.
