Many friends work there and the postmaster is terrible. They take out dues for 2 unions and my friends are only in one, and they still have not straightened it out after working there 1 and 3/4 years. The postmaster rushes everyone which has caused accidents. He must be sleeping with someone or be bribing someone because he is well known as terrible throughout the county postal system. They need an HR person. They have no unpaid parking for the overstressed employees.

If I could give the Toms River post office less than one star, I would. I've been calling them for a week, but it would appear their home is off the hook. No matter when I call, day or night, their number is ALWAYS busy. I'm a snowbird with a po box. I get on average, 5 letters a day to my po box. I'm getting 1- 3 letters a week forwarded to me. I verified with my southern carrier who tells me my mail is NOT being forwarded to me. I've been here 6 weeks and received 5 letters/bills. Where is all my mail??? It's a federal offense for them to "misplace" it.

Worst post office ever. A 1 Star after my experiences is being generous. I ordered my first package a few weeks ago because I am moving this coming weekend and wanted to get it in time. Only to find out my lazy mail man didn't feel like delivering it, marked it as undeliverable (there's a mail box with the correct address right outside the house) & then lost it. And I only found this out tracking it through the businesses website. Another package I ordered to be sent before my move finally came! It was a calendar I got my mom for Christmas that she loves every year. Only for the mail man to instead of putting it in the mail box dropping it on the ground, in a mud puddle, in the pouring f-ing rain over night, and now it's soaked and the pages aren't staying together. Are you kidding? I get it's Christmas time and it's busy but if you already ruined/lost two of my packages how many others are getting effected! I worked in retail & dealing with customers so I'm not one to complain because I get people have off days but I'm so fed up with my ruined christmas gifts making this move 15 days before Christmas more stressful on top of other lazy little things you did all year. Quit your job if you don't like it.

I moved after I flooded out with Sandy in 2012. The house is obviously empty but the mailman keeps jamming the junk mail in so full that my friend has to rip it to get it out. The Toms River PO does not answer it's phone. Sad Sad Sad!

I have the same issues. This post office makes up story of addresses undeliverable so that mails and parcels can be delayed. It's not true at all. Someone is not doing their jobs in there and trying to mislead others and cover for themselves.

I got a notification from Amazon that my package was undeliverable. It was a drink cart for my brother as a housewarming present, so it was a fairly huge box. I looked online in vain to see if they were open on Sundays. Obviously it was a no, but I called up anyway. The man working there answered immediately, located my package, and had it sent back out within a couple hours...ON A SUNDAY.

my mail delivery has been less than stellar. when my regular person is out , his replacement has been a disaster! out of her last five deliveries, the mailbox has been left open four times. it had been raining on two of those occasions. I was told by an insider that that is the caliber of the people they are hiring. it seems to be a sign of the times.
