As a Furniture dealer for over 30 years dealing with low to high end upholstery. We were appalled to have the following experience with Carter upholstery, Original order received featured variations of arm height and size, fabric badly puckered all over. I contacted both the factory & the Rep who went with me on the service call. The rep was shocked and our client was livid. Photos and descriptions were send by both the rep and us. Problem was denied. After several appeals, they requested we returned a sofa cover to verify our complaint. Then, they agreed to correct the problem and asked our client to reselect another fabric. With the replacement order, we requested welting all over the sofas and selected a new fabric. Much to our surprised and dismay, the second order arrived with no welting and seams all over the cushions and back. We notified the factory and we were told the that fabric could not be railroaded, We were never informed prior to production nor was the fabric labeled.
