Founded in 1956, Lamar Middle School is an educational institution that serves more than 600 students in grades six through eight. It offers classes in reading, writing, math, science, English, social studies, art, physical education, music, computer applications and language arts. The school operates a parent-teacher organization that encourages parental involvement in their children s education. It additionally maintains a library that provides curriculum-related materials and a variety of leisure reading options for students.
