My husband and I chose to build a SK home almost 6 years ago and we could not be happier with our decision! We looked at many different builders and the quality craftsmanship of SK was far superior to any of the other builders we looked at. We love that SK allowed us to customize the floor plan and adapt it to our personal style. Many builders would not allow any changes to their floor plans. We have had no issues over the past 6 years and we absolutely love the neighborhood we are in! My favorite feature is the rock they use on all the homes in our neighborhood. The curb appeal it adds really makes the houses stand out over your typical cookie cutter neighborhood. We would definitely recommend an SK home to anyone looking to build their dream house.

This is our 3rd house we have built with SK Builders and we have been very pleased with the quality of workmanship. With our last house, the weather delayed the construction but they worked extra hard to make sure we were in our house prior to school starting. We had minor repairs that needed to be taken care of at our one year walk-thru and they got them taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. I would recommend SK Builders to anyone looking to build a new home.

We are very happy with our house. It has been great for our family. SK allowed us to make changes to the floor plan that most builders wouldn't allow and we couldn't beat the price we got with all the options. We are HAPPY homeowners! Thanks SK for making our dream house come true.

We are very happy with our home! We love the small community, & our lot is great! We are recommending SK to a family member who is looking to site build their next home. Our parents also live in an SK built home, and have been happy for the 10 years they have lived there.

I have been building with SK since 2007 and we are very pleased! This is our 2nd SK Home. We have been very pleased, especially since they let us make changes to their floor plans unlike most builders around here. I don't feel so cookie cutter. We don't plan on moving again but if we do, SK will definitely be building!

I have been dealing with SK for approximately a year and halftrying to get massive drywall cracking repaired.I have missed countless days of work only to have no one show up, at least five times.I'm at the point I'm going to have work done myself and try to get my money back in court. I have owned four new homes and NEVER have had an experience like this.This is by far the worst quality and most unprofessional builder I have ever deal with.

Great Builder.. SK Builders provided our Family with our dream home. SK Builders and the sales team allowed us to make changes and make our dream home a reality. I would definitely recommend them and build with them again.

Warranty department is terrible. They take there time and do patchwork fixes. Been in our house a year and had three major problems. Parking pad has cracks and spider-webbed. Siding is pulling off side of house, and garage was leaking through the side of the house. Siding is still not fixed, took five months to finally get Garage fixed and my siding is still not fixed. If i had to do it over again, i would never build with SK Builders.

I would rate SK builders as mediocre at best. I agree completely with ese1217's depiction of the home buying process. Most warranty work has been reasonable but unimpressive. The house itself is sound. I feel there is a huge wall placed between the builder and the buyer throughout closing. The one custom item we paid for (a kitchen island with electric) became a kitchen peninsula because they failed to run electric after reminders. The landscapers interred a 5 foot hill of construction gravel and building material into our back lawn. I identified this problem on our 30 day, and was met with complete refusal. Grass cannot grow. Finally after a neighbor's complaint of overwash, SK investigated the issue. They made minimal intervention. 2 laborers ineffectively steel raked our yard for an hour and one man dug a 1 inch deep ditch for the drainage issue, finally throwing out seed. SK, the proper response is to either remove the debris or bring in topsoil over the entire yard, then properly reseed. I'm tired of fighting to receive basic professional work.

Super disappointed with the communication, professionalism, and willingness to make mistakes right. We were building for the first time and expected things to go wrong and mistakes to be made. But when it came down to actually correcting the major issues at hand, SK dropped the ball.



We had to withdraw from our contract due to the unwillingness to make these things right. We had no communication with the builder, only with the project manager and his team, who were clearly overwhelmed by their workload. We feel strongly that if communication would have been better between both parties, we would have continued on with this process. But unfortunately, we lost all confidence in SK to build our house with excellence and decided to move on.

The worst builders ever! We bought our house brand new from this company it has been 2.5 years and our house has cracks in the wall nails coming out of the wall, and many more problems. When we first bought the house within 2 weeks we had a painter come out 3 times to fix the walls and did nothing but made it worse we also had 2 door replaced that were damaged. This company uses very cheap material. I know exactly what the other reviews mean when they say the builders come and use the water because they do it to us all the time and its so disrespectful to not even ask and take someone's water. Also with the trees we chose our lot because there were 5 trees separating us from the neighbors we now have 2 trees there and a gate so these builders can drive through our backyard when needed. I could go on and on for days. So when your looking to buy a new house I highly recommend using a different builder!

Terrible construction company. Poorly built houses. We bought a brand new house which came with warranties and when things started to break before the first year we never could get anyone to fix anything. After the house was bought they started developing lots next to us and they would try to adjust the property lines to "fit their needs" to build on the lot. They crossed property lines numerous times and dug up our yard and cut down trees on our lot. When you called to complain they tried to tell us they are allowed to adjust property lines because they were the builder. They had to put a septic tank in with a drain field and never covered it up so there is a huge hole in the back yard they still have not covered up after almost a year. The workers (painters, brick masons, siding and landscapters) consistently would come to our house and tap into our outside water spicket to get water to do their projects but we were paying for it. After a lock was put on the outside spicket they tried to cut it off. I would never want anyone to have to go through what we have went through with this horrible company.
