Cook's Plastering

Cook's Plastering did the first job for me over 25 years ago. I was glad to find they were still doing business when my second need for plaster work recently arose. They again did an outstanding job for me. They have since done work for my daughter and son in law. Always professional with great quality of work!

This was the worst experience ever! He promised to complete the job in 3 weeks. After 3 months, he still wasn't finished! On top of that, the job that he did do was poorly done. He would caulk over cracks and paint over the caulk without sanding it down smooth. I asked him to cover my floors, he did not, and got excess paint everywhere. Lastly, he broke a window, took it to be repaired, and never returned it.. He avoided phone calls, lied at every turn as to what he was going to do. This was a nightmare!! Don't use Cook's!!!!! If I could give him 0 stars, I would.

Extremely disappointed!! Should have done my homework and read some of the other reviews first. At the time of the initial meeting, Mr. Cook seemed very experienced and I even shared with him bad experiences I've had with some contractors, and was very clear about my expectations about being on time and completing jobs as specified. He couldn't have agreed more. However, after taking the down payment, he disappeared. I signed a contract with him on a Friday, to repair the plaster in a small bathroom. He called me Sunday night to let me know he couldn't make our Tuesday appointment. We rescheduled for Friday between 12 and 1. I took off of work, thinking the job would be completed that afternoon. At 1:10, I called him to see if he was on his way. He denied telling me that our appointment was at that time, stating that he said he would be there "in the afternoon." He said he was on his way, as well as his son, and his son would be at my home within one-half hour to 45 minutes. His son arrived 2 hours later. Mr. Cook never showed up. After 3 hours of work, his son reported that he couldn't get into certain corners and crevices of the wall, because only his father had the tools to do this, and he had just spoken to his father who was coming to complete the job. At this time, it was 6:00 p.m.and I asked what time his father was coming. He couldn't tell me. Needless to say, there was no call from Mr. Cook and he did not show up, I feel like I have been scammed by this company. Now I'll have to hire someone else to finish. Very dishonest, discourteous, untrustworthy and unprofessional is the way I would describe this company. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Excellent work! They were extremely professional. All work was done as promised with constant care to keep everything as clean as possible. Couldn't have asked for anything better!

I absolutely love the work this company did in my home! Cook's Painting employees are professional, polite, and very neat. I definately would recommend Cook's and I can't wait to use their services again.
