Due to backgrounds and expertise in EDI and corporate education, it was decided to focus on EDI education and consulting services. The initial concept was to deliver EDI education on behalf of large corporations and to their customers. The idea soon expanded to include the development and sale of custom courseware to corporate clients, in many cases teaching those courses for clients, and management and coordination of educational events.The early 1990's were a period of change for the company. In 1995, Maura Grady took on the role as President and CEO. Under Ms. Grady's leadership, the company expanded its targeted markets and redirected its efforts towards the emerging technologies and applications that came about as a result of a shift in technology and the rapid acceptance of the Internet. Ms. Grady has continued to lead EdgeWise, which now offers design, development and delivery of education and services for companies striving to implement Electronic Commerce, EDI, e-business, and Application Integration.Most of the requests made by EdgeWise clients are for high-end "application specific" educational offerings. In order to help our clients make the correct choices based on their needs, EdgeWise extensively researches and analyzes the skills required of the learner and the various state-of-the-art mediums available to transfer those skills.
