Davis Builders

Used a brick mason that didn't follow code. The mason did not use brick ties as required by code. We told the mason Day 1 about the problems we had at our Birmingham home as there were no brick ties used. We had warned Davis Builders that he was not using brick ties. The brick mason did not use flashing and weep rope as required by code so water would have a way to exit. We called the building inspector who agreed with us and told Davis Builders to meet with us. We had to hire another brick mason, which was the job of Davis Builders., to correct the mason's work Over our kitchen windows is mortar instead of brick. Looks awful. The mason also left our job without any word and went to one of the Carolina's to work for 3 weeks while we had to pay on our construction loan when no work was being done..Our bank would not give us any more money until Sheetrock was done. Davis Builders just up and quit on us. Hurt us badly! We had to hear about it from the building inspector as he didn't notify us. We also have a leak in our foundation. Our floors shake in the kitchen and dining room. You can hear dishes clatter in our china cabinet and the kitchen floor shake whenever someone shuts a door to the laundry room or in the basement. You can also hear movement on my husband's chest of drawers in our bedroom when walking by it. This also occurs in our great room. Floor joists should be 3 inches on concrete walls as required by code. They are not!
