Achten's Quality Roofing

We had been living with a leak in the roof of an addition with skylights for 25 years, despite countless trips to the roof and lots of liquid tar. It is such a relief to have a brand new roof installed by Achten's Quality Roofing (guaranteed to withstand winds over 100 mph). The job was tested just a couple days after installation by 60 mph winds and torrential rains during that infamous storm on August 29th, 2015! Everything remained dry as a bone and there wasn't a single tile on the ground the next day. The price was right and they came in on schedule. Guaranteed for 50 years (materials) and 20 years (labor), what's not to like?

Achten's Roofing installed a new roof for me and also installed sun tunnel In a bathroom.(Very cool).

The whole experience beginning with Carl who explained whole process and came by as roof was going on to make sure all was well........ to the crew that installed roof. The installers were awesome, worked hard , always cleaned area spotless each night when left. I would truly recommend Achten Roofing to anyone. Very happy, my roof looks awesome. We just had Achten's replace the roof on a rental property. Carl was very impressive to work with. He was extremely personable and very knowledgeable about what we needed for the property. He was honest and did not oversell us, but kept costs reasonable. The roof was completed on time and besutifully, the property was cleaned up and absolutely no mess left behind. The renters were happy with their speed and courteousness. I highly recommend their work.

Our experience with Achten's roofing was very positive. Of five roofing estimates, Achten's came in low. We were very impressed by Achten's representative, Carl Carlson. So much so, that we chose Achten because Carl was the only one who identified eave sheathing that needed replacement and included that cost in the estimate. They re-roofed our house and detached garage in two days. They look great and have received many compliments. A couple of gutters got dinged and the canopy of our outdoor swing got damaged by falling shingles during roofing removal. Achten promptly repaired the gutters and sent us a check for replacement of our swing.

I needed a complete roof replacement. Although Achten's was not the lowest bid of the three reputable roofing companies, they did provide the best "bang for your buck." All work was completed on schedule by professionals and the area was left clean. The Estimator was available for any questions and was personable and professional.

Had complete roof replacement. Had to tear off two old roofs and build a new one. The first couple days I really had to watch them to make sure everyone was on the same page about the work that needed to be done. I think they need better communication between the estimators promising the work and the workers. Besides that no other complaints. Everyone was very friendly and the quality of work was excellent. They were even able to upgrade my insulation in the attic which qualified me for a rebate through PSE. For as big as this project was they were done in just a few days. My house is now comfortable and I know come this fall I will not have to fear any leaks. I will definitely use this company again in the future.

We had our roof replaced on our very first home and it was our first time working with a roofing company. These guys did a great job and we couldn't be happier. They were very professional and worked with us throughout the entire process. The workers were polite and flexible as we were trying to get moved in while they were doing the roof. I would definitely recommend Achtens to anyone who needs their roof replaced.

The entire process went very well. Our sales contact was Gary Sparks. He provided prompt response to all of my questions and was available during the entire roofing installation.

The roofing crew worked was very organized and did a great job. The roofing crew consisted of 3 men for most of the work and it took 2 days to complete our 1400 square foot home. Other roofing companies may do the roofing faster, but speed does not always equal quality.

If you compare warranties between Achten’s and other roofing companies you will find that their warranty will not be matched. They provide a 20 year warranty on workmanship and a life-time transferable shingle warranty. They use GAF shingles which is from the largest shingle manufacturer in the US. Extra steps are taken during the roofing install to provide the life-time warranty. The shingles are secured to the roof with 6 nails (using air nailers) to allow for a 130 MPH wind warranty.



Achten’s present promotion when installing a new roof includes a free 10 inch Velux solar tube, which we had installed in our main bathroom.

Achten’s provided their own porta-potty.



Cleanup was immaculate.



The process of getting bids from 3 contractors was definitely and educational experience. What I learned during this project:

1) ‘W’ flashing in the values should be installed to reduce the possibilities of future leaks.

2) L’ flashing around the edge of the roof is not required when re-roofing. Some companies will not use ‘L’ flashing to save costs. Achten’s using the ‘L’ flashing.

3) Roof Vents – metal are better, some companies will use plastic vents save costs. Achten’s uses metal vents

4) Nailing – Most companies will hand nail or air nail 4 nails per shingle. Achten’s air nails with six nails per shingle.

My husband and I are beyond please with the job Achten's roofing did. Our old roof started leaking so we called them. They were quick to plan and schedule the work, they gave us an amazing deal and the quality is better than expected. They also worked efficiently, they did not try to work slow to get extra money. We had no idea our roof could look this good. They also replaced our skylight and that is for sure my husbands favorite part. It is quiet, clean and clear and looks amazing.

Achten's recently installed a new roof for us and the workmanship performed was outstanding. With the exception of a couple of minor details that needed to be addressed, which were taken care of satisfactorily, we are very pleased with there work. The crew showed up on time and were very professional.



We had a couple of bids that were lower than Achten's but are satisfied that we made the right choice for a lot of reasons, not least of which, they were much more thorough with assessing exactly what needed to be done with no shortcuts.



I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking to replace their roof.

Our roof was missing flashing and had mold issues throughout the plywood. Achten’s Quality Roofing came out and did a very thorough assessment of the situation and gave us their recommendations. Bob, the representative who came out, was very informative and walked me through every detail of the process and products needed to fix the problem. I felt very confident with Bob’s knowledge and expertise. I decided to follow through with an entire roof replacement. The workers were friendly, prompt, and efficient. Sales agent, Randy, was well prepared at the initial visit for the estimate. His preparation far exceeded that of competitors. The re-roofing went smoothly even in the rain. It was determined that the chimney had rotted and that was also re-built. We have had many compliments from the neighbors. The workers were very nice to work with and did an excellent clean up of the site. Kudo's to Niklas, who almost single handedly re-built the chinmey.

I have new roof! Thank you Achten`s for every single day of your dedicated workers and supervisors. I am very greatful for the financing help and for saving my time and my house. I wish everyone could come and see the job Achten`s team done, beautiful 3D hickory colored shingles, high technology new vents, new plywoods and all accesories, clean and efficient job. the crew worked from 7am to 7pm and after every day they cleaned and removed all debris, vacuumed the driveway and attic space. the Achten`s supervisor completed all paperworks for me and receved the permission for the reroofing and inspection protocol from the City Hall. I think Jerry Gamache is the best person to help you start with your project. He gave us all support we needed and as Achten`s supervisor he`s most experienced one.

Achten's Quality Roofing is as good as it gets. The estimator was friendly and honest, telling us what he thought needed to be done to reroof my 25 year old home. He called the day before the work could start to give us a heads up; the crew arrived the next morning. They were polite and professional. Care was taken to protect our home; tarps were laid down to collect debris but were unneeded. All old shingles and tar paper were removed and thrown into a trailer; there was nothing thrown into the yard. That afternoon the new shingles arrived and were carefully placed on the roof. The next morning the crew arrived as scheduled and worked all day until the job was done. Then they carefully scanned the yard for nails and swept the patio and sidewalk and drove off leaving nothing behind except a beautiful new roof. I will recommend Achten's Quality Roofing to anyone needing a new roof.

Great job...our roofing team was fantastic! They were very careful and thorough and our roof looks great. We were especially impressed in how careful they were to get things buttoned up before they left for the day (sometimes at dark), and before the rains came.
