I can't imagine a moving company doing a worse job than this one. They were three hours late showing up, I had to call the office repeatedly asking for a time frame and the staff had no idea where the drivers even were. When they did finally show up they brought no tools with them even though I had specifically told them they needed to disassemble some bunkbeds. They broke my dresser and didnt say anything to me about it. I noticed later on that evening that it was sitting crooked. When I looked down at the floor there was pieces of wood laying next to it. They broke the whole side off of it and just left it there. They charged me for time they weren't even at my house and as they were leaving one of the movers asked me out. From start to finish they were a disaster and I regret ever calling them. Zero stars would be most appropriate.

As I read Sharon's review from 2015 I felt the need to respond. We used A-1 almost a year ago for a move from Duluth to the Twin Cities. It was a stressful time as our house sold so quickly and we had no idea what area of the Twin Cities we wanted for our relocation. From the start they assured us they could be flexible with how things proceeded and they were. Not only were we initially unsure of which items exactly were going to move with us, we had no date or location. Their flexibility took away much of the stress.
There was a glitch with loading as the semi would not fit in our driveway, but that was resolved and the crew worked efficiently to load our entire household. They stored our items safely for a month until we could into our new home. They arrived promptly on unloading day and put items in the proper rooms on all three floors of our new home. They even moved things from one level to another as I changed my mind on some large pieces. They set up the beds. With this 3 step move I was afraid of damage to my furniture and boxed items, but there was almost none.
We are now moving my parents down from Duluth and I am planning to use A-1 again. That is how I happened to see the earlier review and know that I needed to share my experience.

Very poor service. They were 2.5 hours late, and over +$200 on their estimate of $300. The movers complained the entire time about being tired and about having to move my belongings up to the 3rd floor (with an elevator!)They literally dumped my belongings in my apartment. They were informed of my dissatisfaction but have not contacted me in the month since I moved. I would never hire them again. They deserve zero stars.
