Proficient Air Conditioning

Worst experience ever. I Had Proficient Air Conditioning install Trane a condenser A/C unit and First Company air handler In 2009. We never had any problems with unit until the last year. Originally spoke to Pat the owner of Proficient Air for installation and price with extended warrantee. The extended agreement was to include 10 years parts and 10 years labor. Tried to reach them multiple times and never heard back from them also tried to call the owner Pat but to no avail. i will also be reporting them to BBB, Federal Trade Commission for Breach of contract and filing a law suit in small claims court. They were such a great company but said to say not any more. Also as there web site claims Live Tech 24 hours when you call them all you get is an answering machine with Pat the owners voice.

Stay away from this business!! We purchased an AC service contract from them last year and they have not serviced our AC yet. They do not show up when scheduled (my husband lost many hours of work) and now they cannot find our contract yet we emailed them a copy of it several times. Horrible customer service never callback and full of excuses. Call another AC company; do not be fooled by their fancy website!!

To make a very long story short, we called Proficient Air when our a/c stopped working. We were quoted one price on the phone and told if a repair is done, the fee is waived. This did not happen and they charged us almost $200.00 more. On top of that, less than 1 month later, the a/c broke again. We placed a call to have someone come out and we were told they would be out within 1 hour. After NUMEROUS phone calls and waiting OVER 6 HOURS LATER, we finally gave up and called someone else since they never showed and never picked up the phone. The work they did was poor, they refused to honor their labor warranty and we will be filing a complaint against them ASAP. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!

I purchased my A/C unit from this company last year...ITS STILL NOT COMPLETED!!!! They never filed permits, we had to submit them, unit tie downs are rusting through, the wrong breaker was put in,and they never submitted tie down schematic to townbuilding dept, we failed inspection, they dont return calls-e-mails, or better business bureau calls, my permit is now expired and I still dont have an answered phone call! DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Called late Saturday night and a technician was at my house within the hour at around 10:00 pm. The Proficient technician had my air up and running and fixed at 11:00 and charged a very reasonable rate. If not for them I would have definetly gone to a hotel. The other companies I called prior, all I got were answering machines or answering services, but with Proficient I got a live technician and they took care of us.
