Gianna's Pizzeria & Restaurante

We loved this place when we first went there about 8 months ago. The dining atmosphere was great, low lighting, soft Italian music, delicious meals,and excellent servce. However, over the past few months, the lighting is too bright, the music is annoying top 40 and a few country tunes (really not appropriate for a nice Italian restaurant) the food is still very good, but the service was less than adequate. The server took along time to serve our drinks, did not bring the bread until our meal arrived, and we had to ask for silverware. My husband and I had to ask to be seated away from a large table with several loud children. It was a disappointing dining experience at our once favorite restaurant. Hoping someone will see this an rectify these issues.

Poor management. Management is ill equipped to effectively deal with high volume of customers during peak hours of operations. Price is relatively high for substandard service. Do not recommend.

Horrible. Despite the 1st visit being pleasant, the 2nd on 12/27/12 was unwelcoming and unprofessional. The hostesses inadvertently seated us in a wrong section and the manager pointed at us and made it known to her staff that we should move. As the manager walked passed she kept looking towards us with a sense of anger. Although the manager voiced her issue to her staff, no one came to our table. After waiting over 15 minutes for a waitress to take the initial drink order, we talked with the manager and decided to leave. It is apparent the manager sets the tone and her staff follows suit. Disappointed in the service and professionalism. Instead of making us feel unwelcomed/nuisance, just let us know that there was a mix-up. Strongly recommend going to an alternate Italian restaurant.

Gianna's has THE best lasagna EVER! This is a wonderful addition to the Suffolk area! I highly recommend this place. Their desserts are homemade, too. Awesome!
