Cowboy Town Apartments

These apartments are by far the best that I have ever lived at! They are located by the shopping mall and best of all restaurants!

I've lived in the cowboy town apt for about a yr now. The apts are updated wood floors, spacious, clean, nice counter tops, and cabinets. BUT there is a huge hang up!!! The maintain men are the worse I've ever seen! When you ask them to fix something they take days to fix it or the half way fix it! It always ends up a problem again. They are unfriendly and seem like its a pain to them if you put in a work order. I think the men have forgot that it is their job to help out around the apt. And hey need to just fix it right the first time!! And stop being lazy!

The apartments are very old and run down, the lawns and common areas are not well taken care of. Pets are allowed to "do their business" anywhere and nobody bothers to clean up after them. In addition the management of this apartment can not be trusted. Make sure you get ANYTHING they tell you in writing and witnessed or they will go back on their word and blame it on "change in management." My advice is to stay away from this place. There are a LOT of nicer apartments in Stillwater at a much more reasonable rate.

The apartments are interiorly renovated to be visually appealing. The rooms are spacious and cozy. The small touches on the apartment such as paint, carpet color, and counter tops, have made the space feel warm and less apartment feeling. All appliances are new/newer and function well! Bills are tolerable, but make sure the gaps around windows and doors have been taken care of. Closet space is great! Though, all good things come at a price. In my experience, it has been far from 'easy living'.



Firstly, parking is a MAJOR issue with this apartment complex. There are far to few parking spots, far to many visitors, and numerous bad parkers. If you do not park in a spot correctly with no tires on/over lines, park in an unassigned spot without lines, or do not meet their qualifications at any time, YOU WILL BE TOWED!



Secondly, the management produced many hardships for me. Not only do their repetitive text messages about coffee shop hours/constant shutting down, get old and quite annoying, but their lack of a timely schedule, professional manner, and inability to follow through with tasks make it hard to live here. On more than a few occasions I have had to deal with out running water without notice and have had to use broken drains/ pipes due to their inability to fix/address in timely manner; not due to maitinence issues, I may add. With major issues of destruction of property influenced by other neighbors, the management could care less, having a "AT YOUR OWN RISK" kind of living moto to run their business by.



To finish with the cons of this apartment complex, the neighbors are not what was expected prior to moving into this "new college apartment living". Many are questionable characters and wouldn't think twice to intimidate others around them. I definitely wouldn't suggest single younger women living here alone, unless consideration has been given to this fact and also the parking issue, which at times (especially at night times) require you to park up to two apartment buildings away!!

*tanning salon/bar/grill supposed to be on the grounds are NOT PRESENT AT THIS TIME! FALSE MARKETING TACTICS!!!!!!

*pool was constantly closing, though it was "new"

*laundry facility is disturbingly dirty and old with machines constantly malfunctioning

*volleyball is only an option during swimming season, as they do not provide open gates to it or a net

*coffee shop is a great convenience!!! GOOD coffee :)
