AJ's Carpet & Flooring

I was in the market for laminate flooring and secured an estimate from "AJ's Carpet and Flooring" located in Stafford, VA (540-720-3820). Anthony came to my home, was friendly and gave me a reasonably priced estimate. A few days later, I called to proceed with having the work done and he scheduled the work (three days later) for Friday, June 25, 2008. I was told that he would contact me within the next day or two with a time-frame for which they would arrive at my house to install the flooring. I never heard back from him. On Friday morning, I called and left a voice message (both at the office and cell phone numbers) at 11am. No response. At 1pm I called both numbers again and left another message wondering when they planned to arrive to install the flooring. No reply. At 4pm I left a final message indicating that I'd given up on having my flooring installed and would go with another contractor. I am very displeased with this total lack of customer service. Why waste time coming out to measure and give an estimate if you don't really care about doing the work? I didn't even receive a phone call apologizing for the major inconvenience they caused. They totally blew me off and this is a terrible way to treat a customer. I would like to mention that I've obtained another quote from Floorware located in Sterling and they were able to match the price of what AJ's quoted me (so you cannot even say their lack of customer services is made up with unbeatable prices!) They are scheduled to install a few days from now, so let's hope they show up to do the work and get paid!
