I wouldn't ever recommend this place to anyone ever!!! They were extremely rude and hateful, not only to myself but another customer that was in front of me. They treat you like they're better than you!

Try on EVERYTHING as soon as you can. they screwed up shirt sizes and vest colors. But if you do find a problem with what you were given just DO NOT blame them, because it IS NOT their fault. (They measured some of the boys and everyone they personaly measured was wrong, maybe they need someone else to write stuff down for them) Not really friendly, if you have a large order like I did, I woud recommend going some place different. (I rented 9 Tux's in all) Maybe 3 fit like they were suppose to. The only reason they get 2 stars is because they did correct the vests...sort of (still wrong color but at least my father-in-law did not look like a groomsmen) and they exchanged one shirt. Good luck and try EVERYTHING on way before you event.

I've visited this store five times now. The first time to drop of shirts to be laundered and pressed. The second and third times were unsuccessful attempts to collect my shirts as they had been temporarily lost.



The third visit was quite comical, I thought I was in a Seinfeld episode. I received a call saying the shirts were found and were waiting for me at the store. When I arrived at the store the third time (without my ticket since they kept it while they looked for the shirts) the nice little old lady just kept telling me "I'm sorry dear but I didn't do any shirts for that name." I had to suggest to her that perhaps I could leave my name and number and someone else might call me back.



Ultimately my shirts were found (after I called their other location in Buffalo and talked to someone that remembered my name and my shirts). That's fine, they apologized and offered to deliver them to me when they found them. I declined the delivery since it was on my way home and accepted the apology as genuine. I would give them another try.



I got home to find the worst ironing job I've ever seen. Wrinkles were pressed in all over the place. The shirts weren't wearable.



My fifth and final visit was to return to show them the shirts. He said he could fix it but I told him after all of this I would rather just have my money back. No apology, not admitting that the quality was low, just an attitude of being bothered and a shallow offer of fixing them.



He gave me the money and I won't be back.

I received a call from Mr. Phillips asking me to take this review down. He was sincere in his apology but irritated that I posted the review. He informed me his body language was directed towards his staff (that he was disappointed in the quality they let out the door), not towards me. He let me know that normally he would have been there but he had to go out of town. The review remains an accurate representation of what occurred, but in the interest of fairness I've changed the rating as I appreciate the effort to remedy the situation.

we used paul phillips for my daughter's wedding. we were very very pleased. the service was excellent. the selection was excellent and the price was very excellent. we needed brown tuxes and all the other tux stores were extremely expensive. i would recommend paul phillips for all formal wear.

My wife and I's wedding was a success and greatly due to Paul Phillips. On the big day the last thing i wanted to worry about was mine or anyone else's tux. Half of my groomsmen were from out of town and Paul Phillips was very accommodating to our needs (even being the same weekend as area h.s. proms.) Everyone's tux was very quality and looked very sharp...exactly what my wife and i had in mine. I spent a substantial amount less on tuxes than i would have had i gone to one of the the franchised tux shops in town. I will always go to Paul Phillips first for all my tux needs and would recommend everyone do the same. Thank you Paul Phillips Formal Wear!!!

I am THRILLED to say that my wedding was a sucess. I thought that it would be a rather difficult task to complete considering the number of groomsmen that came in from out of town. However, upon arrival, Paul notified us that all of the groomsmen could call/e-mail/fax their mesurements in from out of town. How convienient! We needed 7 tuxedos, and we were also able to get one free because of a special that they were running. After the wedding I had one of our groomsmen return all of the rentals. He said that it was a quick and convienient return. I also got my dress cleaned and preserved for free after the wedding! Phillips Formal Wear truly exceeded our expectations!

Our wedding party was rather large, we rented 14 tuxedos from Paul Phillips. Just 4 days before picking them up, I called Paul Phillips and requested the color of the vests and ties be changed. With such short notice I was worried that it couldn't be done, however, with no hesitation Paul Phillips said "no problem!" I was so excited! Our wedding was rather hectic, and down right crazy.. I have to say we had two things go perfect, our DJ and all 14 tuxedos fit PERFECTLY! With as many guys going to pick up their tuxedos and being at different times, I still cannot believe we didn't have a single problem.

I highly recommend Paul Phillips. Easy to work with, very helpful with all your needs!!

In 2009, my husband and I used Paul Phillips for our tuxes. When we initially decided to use their services it was because they had always helped my husband rent stylish tuxes for his high school dances and special events. We already knew their products were amazing, but we didn't realize how great their service would be.

For our wedding I had chosen a Canary yellow color for my bridesmaid dresses. Paul Phillips didn't carry that color, but went above and beyond to aquire that color specifically for my wedding. They didn't charge us extra, they didn't even complain. They were happy to cater to our needs.

At the last minute our wedding had to be pushed up three months with only four weeks notice. We took our problem to Paul Phillips and he was extremely flexible. He had our tuxes available within the week. Special color and everything.

Not to mention I came in over a year later to have my dress preserved and they did it for free without hesitation and with out even glanding at my reciept.



By all means I would recommend Paul Phillips formal. They will cater to your needs, work with your schedule, and provide overall great service. They helped make my wedding a low stress event :)

We rented tuxedos from Paul Phillips Formal Wear for our wedding in 2009. I highly reccommend this business. They were very accomodating to our needs. They have an excellent selection, and their prices are awesome. We were very pleased with them. We also enjoyed the cleaning and preseration of the wedding gown (which is freewith a minimum tuxedo rental). Use them and you will not be disapointed.

We have been customers of Scenic Cleaners and Paul Phillips Formalwear since my husband started having his uniforms cleaned there in 1989. The cleaning bill was very reasonable. Throughout the years all three of our boys, Lukas, Josh, and Caleb, all rented their prom tuxes from Paul Phillips. When it came time for project graduation for the youngest two boys, Paul donated money for every tuxedo rented for our prom. That was such a blessing. Then our oldest son, Lukas, was injured in Iraq, and after recuperating in the hospital for eleven months, he returned home for more rehab and to go through his medical discharge from the Army. During his hospital stay, he asked his girlfriend to become his wife. After returning from Walter Reed Medical Hospital and Tampa VA Rehab Center, they wanted to make it official. I went to Paul and asked him how much the tuxedos would be for the wedding. A few weeks later, I returned to pick up the project graduation check for our youngest son, Caleb's project graduation. Paul informed me at that time that he had been very busy getting many businesses to donated their services for Lukas and Emily's wedding in September. I was overwhelmed with gratitude for him and all the businesses that were willing to do this for our son!! Paul has been such a blessing to our family throughout this entire time!! Lukas and Emily had a beautiful wedding as a result!! A year later our middle son, Josh, and his fiance, Jessica, our now renting from Paul for their wedding. We highly recommend Paul Phillips and his two businesses to anyone needed cleaning and anyone about to get married!!

We rented "special order" tuxes for our daugthers wedding last weekend and everything came in on time and as requested. The only reason for 4 stars vs 5 would be due to the busy pickup time (a lot of people trying on & picking up tuxes and two employees) but overall very satisfied customers!

Paul Phillips Tuxedo Rentals are the Best. Not only do they have a great selection...the tuxes are only $50. Paul is also very good at helping and returning to the local schools for Prom and Project Graduation. Yes if you advertise and get your juniors and seniors to rent their tuxes from him, he gives back to the Project Graduation group. It was awesome, my son wore one of the tuxes to school and advertised, we did Great.

I met Paul Phillips at a bridal show a few months before our wedding. Upon hearing the prices and packages that he had to offer, I went to the store to see for myself. From that point forward, the whole experience with my wedding was incredible. The fact that Paul kept all of the tuxedos on location at the store was a key factor. Almost all of my groomsmen were from out of town, so when we came to try the tuxes on, Paul and his staff were willing to do anything we needed. The selection and prices were the best deal I have ever come across. I have been in friends' weddings that I have paid well over $ 100 for the same thing. We only paid $50 including shoes and any colored vest and tie he had at the store, which is a large selection. There was no hidden fees or gimicks whatsoever. Paul was upfront with us from the beginning. We were very pleased with the whole experience.

Paul recently did our wedding in February 2010. We had already booked our wedding with Men's Wearhouse when we found our about the 50 Bucks Tux, so we went and checked them out. We quickly found out Paul has the same quality tuxedo's offered at Men's Wearhouse for MORE THAN HALF the price. Paul had great customer service and helped us out a lot as we switched to his business. The 50 Bucks Tux is a legitimate deal, but you can pay a little more for minor upgrades such as specific shoes if those things are important to you. Paul will clean and preserve the bride's wedding gown for free and the groom's tux is also free. There's a wide variety of tuxedo's and vests to choose from and Paul will be very willing to work with you. I dropped my dress off to be cleaned and preserved and recently found out I needed to wear it again for another photo shoot. I called Paul and he steamed and cleaned the dress so it was ready to wear again, free of charge...AND he is still going to clean it again and preserve it for me. If you need tuxedo's for a wedding or any other occasion - it is worth your money to check him out!!! You will be happy you did and so will your wallet.

I recently had a huge wedding where we rented 15 tuxedos from Paul Phillips Formal Wear. A friend had told me about the great price and service he had gotten for his wedding so I thought I would ckeck them out. When we want to look at the tuxes at the store I could not belive all the different styles they offerd for $50 with shoes. After shopping the only 2 other stores in town it was a relief to find them considering they are about half the price of the other 2. They had a much wider selection and they are all on site. Jon and Paul him self waited on us took time to help us pick out the perfect tux and the colors we wanted. We picked up our tuxes on wed. before the wedding everything fit great on the guys local but their were 3 who went to a wearhouse tux shop where they live to get measured. They did not get in town until the day of the wedding at 7:OO am nothing fit the place they got measured completly blew their measurments. Pictures start at 10:00. I called Pauls store # to see what time he opened but at my surprise I got Paul himself his phone was forwarded to his cell. I told Paul what had happend he asked how soon they could be at the store he would meet us there and open early to fix the problems. By 8:15 he had remeasured the 3 guys fit them perfect and we were on our way to the wedding. I can not say enough about the service we got from Paul and Jon at Paul Phillips formal wear.

The employees at Paul Phillips were helpful and great to work with. The tux rental process went quite well. However, we were told my wedding dress would be cleaned and ready to go one month after we dropped it off. It took them two and a half months! This, to me, is completely unacceptable.
